Good afternoon ya'll. I'm not doing anything productive right now. I'm home alone right now. I'm taking advantage of that and trying to take care of a headache. If I was really smart I would be up and doing housework. But I don't feel so smart today.

You know what they say about opinions.

I've been at work all day. It was a lot warmer than I expected. Luckily, we had new shirts come in so I was able to change out of my long sleeve dress shirt into a nice cool golf style polo. If only I had shorts or capris, I would have been perfectly comfortable. The Kids and Kubs whipped the city hall workers. Those guys are all 75 and up, but they play 3 times a week. I hope I get that old and am that active.

Amanda - you are a brave woman going to Walmart with 3 kids.

Sadie - I can't even imagine the fur tumbleweeds from your Buicks!

I am now relaxing for the rest of the night. Since the little one didn't have a nap, she'll go down early.

I had DD2 in the tub tonight. I had just finished washing her when I went to make her sister get ready to join her. Then I hear DD2 say, "Mommy, get my fart out of the tub." I walk in the bathroom and say "What?" She points to a floater in the tub and says "Get my fart out of the tub." I got her out, stuck her on the toilet (again - she sat there before bath), and cleaned up the nugget. Then I yelled to her sister to start the shower in the other bathroom because this one was shut down for toxic waste.

DD did this, too.

When I experience floaters its usually spots before my eyes. I'll take my floaters over your floaters. And I have never heard nuggets refered to as toxic waste. They are usually called chicken.

I'll never be able to eat chicken nuggets again.

So amid all the hoopla in our lives right now, we decided it might be kind of fun to take a trip to D.C. at the end of the month. The kids have a week off from school and DH found out last week that he's off that whole week too. Instead of sitting around feeling mopey, we think it would be much more fun to get out and do something. We had originally (last fall) thought of doing this trip during the kids' April vacation, but a)we could be anywhere but here at that point, and b)DH won't necessarily have that week off and I guarantee he won't have any vacation pay left at that point to take the week off. D.C. is a 10-hr. drive from here and once you get there, 99.9% of everything to see is free!!

DD & I will go to D.C. in March.

Can someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take custody of a whining 6 year old? Please? I'm getting tired of the drama. . .

I got a 12 & 1/2 year old. I'm willing to trade. Warning though, she's annoying as snot.

See, Mean Qeen often says that she has 2 seasons--summer and not really summer.

I say we have 2 as well--summer and fallwinterspring

Here in PA we have fall, winter, spring, and construction.

What's on everyone's agenda for today?

Not too much today. I spent the bulk of yesterday going through over 20 boxes in the basement. I did get rid of quite a bit of stuff that I no longer really want, or just plain don't need. I've satisfied myself with what's left in the boxes, that it's not a waste of space.

With all the melting going on outside today I should go try to break through the pile of packed snow around back. When DH was taking snow off the roof last week, one pile landed square across one of our walkways. I also realized yesterday that our camper is fully socked in under our deck, and if we need to get it out before the snow melts in the spring, it's gonna be quite a project!
