After August here in NC, I can't imagine it in Florida. I think it's probably near the same temps, only more humid.



I finished my trip report. Now all I have to do is get myself motivated for PTR. I think I'll finish reading this junk for National Boards first, though.

Actually, the leg waxing wasn't so bad. Now I'll see how long it lasts to decide if it's worth doing again. I am becoming more and more high maintenance. I get pedicures, my eyebrows waxed, now my legs. In a few weeks, I'm getting fake nails put back on. I get my hair cut and colored at the salon. I've even considered a bikini wax (no brazilian.)

I posted this elsewhere but I don't think it was exactly "on topic" but I want to share! I think you guys will appreciate it and my goofiness.

My DD12 was annoying the heck out of me because she was boooooooooored. I was about to make *something* for dinner and she wanted to help so I capitalized on the situation LOL! We played Iron chef. I knew she could cook eggs so that was her secret ingredient.

SO for dinner I had a chef salad with grape tomatoes, iceburg, shredded cheddar, turkey ham, AND sliced boiled eggs.

1 deviled egg (*snort*)

AND the pieze de resistance! An egg salad sammich!

I know, she's a genius! I wish I would have seen this thread 15 minutes earlier so you all could have witnessed her talent before I ate it up We had fun in the kitchen!

It was yummy but I'll be playing the pantie flute all night long!

I posted this elsewhere but I don't think it was exactly "on topic" but I want to share! I think you guys will appreciate it and my goofiness.

Is your return supposed to be in soon? I sure hope so!!!! Today is going along okay. I'm cleaning and Dising. Or is it Dising and cleaning.

We did our taxes Sat night. It said we would have it in 2-3 weeks. We don't do online banking so wait for a paper check. I doubt we can wait that long though. Now that I think of it, I can probably use bill $ next week and replace it when the taxes come in. This weeks check goes to the mortgage. Eh, it will all work out. I'm just sick of being cold.

Yeah, got to keep a good attitude. I mean what's the point of focusing on the negative all the time? No need to walk around miserable and depressed. I'm already cold, no need to be miserable and depressed too. Ahhh, sun coming through the window on me. It feels so nice. The dogs are on the floor in the sun. The only time they pick the floor over the couch is when the sun is out.

I cried on the plane as we took off and flew over Tampa Bay...

I missed my family but that is absolutely it.

OH!...the surprise party for my dad was a hit and he was a riot. When we got to the room where it was being held, he peeked in and saw all these people sitting at decorated tables. Instantly they yelled "SURPRISE!" and the look of total confusion on his face was priceless!!....he looked at his wife with the "What am I missing?" look and then she said "This is for your 80th birthday!" to which he replied, "You're in big trouble!" He doesn't really like surprises but he handled this very well and I think even he would admit that he had a great time.

And I'm glad I was able to be there for this.


Mean Queen I got spoiled on Starbucks this weekend.....It really stinks that I don't have any near me up here! By the way what was it that you had again?.....Cappa-frappa-something-or-other with a shot of peppermint?!!? I want that next time!
