I almost forgot......Amazing Race starts tonight. :cool1: Yeah, I have no life. :lmao:

NO SCHOOL TODAY, WOOH :worship: Thank you, Presidents!

I finished my "to kill a mockingbird" work last night, thankfully.
I had 2 pages front and back HAND-WRITTEN notes with page numbers
and 4 typed 12-font times new roman of discussion questions :scared:

MORNING.
I can't sleep so I am up at 2 a.m. :guilty:

Today my sister and I are going to see "Confession of a Shopaholic"
GUILTY! :wave2:

So, "The Amazing Race" was...

AMAZING!!!!!!!

I think it's so funny how DH is now just as into it as I am. He couldn't wait for the new season to start last night!! The pair that was eliminated, I wasn't surprised - from the get-go I didn't give them long. Too much tension and bickering between them. You may get away with that in your relationship in regular life (although I don't know how it's healthy or pleasant...:confused3 ) but it won't get you anywhere in a situation as intense as this race.

The 70-storey bungie jump was NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anywho, good morning all you fabulous peepuls!

I was surprised when you said you were going there today. Many schools in the north including my town have off this week. Everyone is trying to escape winter. I wouldn't be able to stand it. Way too many people for me.
I didn't think about it being President's Day weekend until I was waiting for the tram and saw the mass of humanity...with strollers in full force.

But...I did renew my pass so I'm good until April 2010!
:cool1:

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes

LegoMom I have to agree with you about the Amazing Race. I was sooooo embarrassed that couple was from SC. :sad2: I feel so bad for the mountain couple. She just doesn't seem to have the stamina to be on the show. Maybe that will change.

Hey Metro. :goodvibes April 2010 sounds soooooo far away. Kinda scary thtat it is just next year.

Oh no kidding!! I mean something like climbing that hill for the cheese isn't something most people do every day, but this poor gal can't even keep up with her husband just running down the street! Unfortunately I don't think that's going to work in their favor...:sad2:

And speaking of climbing the hill for the cheese......was that not one of the funniest things you've ever seen??!!!!:rotfl:

**MAJOR SPRING ANNOUNCEMENT**!!.....

The Tufted Titmice in my yard are SINGING this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes that was great!! I liked watching the men at the bottom of the hill laughing at everyone. :rotfl:

I know! :rolleyes1

I followed you over there and posted just after you. (does that make me a stalker? :scared1: :rotfl: )

I thought TAR was great last night! I posted my thoughts on the TAR thread. :thumbsup2

Good morning.

My son and I were laughing so hard at the cheese compitition. Switzerland is beautiful. I love mountain areas. The bungee jump looked pretty scary. Usually I feel bad for people who might have difficulty but I found myself annoyed with that woman. I was thinking about how the people who signed up for the show and didn't get picked may feel. Here she has an opportunity of a life time that many would do anything for and it appears she took it for granted. I'm assuming she knew her husband put their names in and she didn't have some strange injury preventing her to prepare. You would think one would prepare and exersise, eat right and build up your stamina a little. Exercise can be simple, like walking and maybe gradually walking faster and a little longer. I'm not talking anything major. I would feel like I owed that to my partner. I felt bad for her husband.

Metro West, :woohoo: pass until April 2010

Oh boy! I miss a weekend of reading and there's seven pages to catch up on!

Guys, I was flat out this weekend. My body just finally gave up. I thought I was getting better from this cold, but I spent almost all day yesterday in bed. I would get up, try to do something, it would wipe me out and I would go back to sleep. So I totally took advantage of it, DH waited on me, and DS was so great. Although I hear his little cough coming back and that has me worried. I think I may check in with his pediatrician. He was better, but now I'm hearing more coughing and congestion.

I do feel better, but still a little pooped. I ended up taking some Mucinex (the congestion was just killing me) and it finally started working, and OMG, what a relief!

Sorry to regale you all with my gross sickie stories. :lmao:

TK your gross sickie stories are welcome here anytime!:rotfl: Glad you're feeling at least a little better. Yes, we were quite the chatty bunch this weekend, weren't we?!

.

TarzansKat, I hope you can snap back to health soon. Rest whenever possible. TAKE IT EASY
