The trip was awesome! We are stil recuperating--I have been extremely tired the past couple of days.

I haven't even thought about the tree! Ours is a prelit one, so all I have to do is put it together and plug it in. I'll put it up the weekend before Thanksgiving.

I'm excited about my new ornaments. I got two of them in DTD, and I went to a local church's Christmas bazaar this morning and bought a couple of handmade ones.

Or maybe I am completely losing my mind and have totally lost track of everyone on this thread and I have no clue what's going on with anyone. Are you doing ok??

Yup gone and come back. Last week this time I was on Dumbo watching the fireworks over my head!

I had forgotten that our tree wasn't pre-lit! Oh well, it didn't take me TOO long We had fun looking around the Christmas shop at DTD too. Mom and I got some new ornaments in the Christmas shop at MGM. I'll show it in my trip report too. Here are the ornaments we got:

They looked like peppermints!

And these last ones have ornaments from each park. So I can always be at Disneyworld, even at home

It's a little early but the day Halloween is over it's fair game!

I'm so excited! My friend who's going with us called earlier and just said "21 days!" I need to do more on my Pre-trip report for the cruise.

So, my dad was up for a week and I didn't spend too much time chattering on the DIS. When he left I went right back to work so that's been taking up the bulk of my daytime. Evenings I've been so tired that I get the boys in bed and I'm off to la-la land myself.

DH is trying to hold onto his job and his sanity. They aren't laying off but are cutting hours. That's why I'm taking anything they can offer me at my old job. We are already decided to put the house on the market in the spring and take what we can get for it. We won't lose money on it, even at a reduced price than we previously listed it for. Stuff is selling, just not for "inflated" prices, of course. Meanwhile I'm looking up rental homes in the Ocala area and dreaming of the day!

Can't. Wait.

I've already decided to get premium APs for our first year there, so we can go whenever we want to! Two must-do's for us are one of the Star Wars weekends and right before Christmas. Oh, and the Flower and Garden show and the Food and Wine Festival. And MNSSHP!! Oh, and maybe MVMCP too!!!

I can relate somewhat to the job problems.

I didn't tell anyone, but right after I said we were finally financially stable, the state of SC announced big cuts across the board, with a huge cut for education. What does this mean for us? While we won't lose our jobs, we will probably lose county supplements. The governor has place a moratorium on pay increases for teachers for the 2009-2010 school year, and dear Mark Sanford has also forgotten that there is also a state law that teachers in SC cannot make less than the southeastern average. Next year we will get no pay raises, our benefit costs will increase, and jobs that people leave will not be filled, thereby increasing class sizes.

For dh and me, that means probably nothing other than health insurance will cost more and we will have less money to put into savings. In other words, we will be a great deal tighter with everything, including luxuries. One trip instead of 2 next year, for instance.
