I understand. My DH wants to know why I sit and chat with strangers on this board every night rather than chatting with him. Well, all you guys don't just sit and talk sports to me or whine about your jobs. But I am also going to make an effort to watch TV with him without also Dis'ing.

But LegoMom, you need to update your DS's age in your signature.

What gets me is teachers have a problem with that, but they seem to do nothing about children who miss 1 day every other week for reasons that deal mostly with oversleeping, mama couldn't get me to the bus stop in time, and my all time favorite--we weren't able to get rid of the headlice. I mean, really. Third time during the year your kid has headlice and each time they need to miss 7 days of school? And they wonder why I show up at the door trying to figure out what is wrong.

We have a kid like that. I work with Life Skills at the High School level. Last year he missed 48 days. That's more than one whole marking period. The teacher last year was an a**hole and was incompetent. This year is the same thing with the kid.

Well, TMI, I was PMSing yesterday. I did send an email to him. Got a text apology today. Sometimes I'm so good I scare myself.

I can completely understand.

The kids are packed, I'm packed. Dh? Not so packed. He can take care of himself. Now I have to update the itinerary, clean the house from top to bottom (I want to come home to a clean house), double check the packing list, and go!!!

I'm here! I was doing some research for the cruise. The Dis group was talking dining rotations and now my head is rotating from all the confusion.

I'm taking off at 7 a.m. to drive to Caribbean Beach. It's the only moderate I haven't stayed at. My friends and I are very excited. I need to make sure I pack everything.

Yay you're here!!!!! I'm hiding on the DIS while total chaos erupts around me....the 9-yr. old's birthday sleepover is going on right now. Whenever I start thinking my kids are lacking in manners or "you're a guest in someone else's home" etiquette, all I need to do is have a few other kids come over.... I'm amazed at some of the stuff they do that they think is ok!! Um, no you can't go in DS11's room and look through his stuff! No, you can't launch yourself off my couch and try to clear the room! These are the days when YOU should utter a silent word of thanks that you have GIRLS.

I can't put a date on it yet, but I started researching the "me and DH only" trip to the World. I priced out ASMovies (last choice but I'd do it if I had to), POR, and, just for kicks, Animal Kingdom Lodge. I'd love to plan the trip and tell DH that we were doing POR again (or, even better, ASM!!) and then suprise him with AKL when we arrived!

As frustrating as girls can be, I am often very thankful I don't have any boys. In the teen years, that will bite me in the butt. But at this age, my ADD child is about all the activity I can take. And she's no where near as active as a typical boy.

How about buying DVC then surprising DH with a 1-bedroom at AKL? It has a very nice whirlpool tub (though that one only fits one.)
