Thanks SadieDog. That's the perfect smiley to describe how I want to be on this trip. As soon as we get there we're kicking things off at a champagne brunch. DH doesn't drink anymore so I'm going to take care of his champage for him.

Hi everybody! I'm leaving in a few hours to head down to Indianapolis as we are flying from there. I'm excited 'cause the hotel we're staying in overnight has the Sleep Number beds. Can't wait to try it! Oh - and we have reservations tonight at PF Changs. I've never eaten there before but people who have rave about it so I'm excited about that, too. Can you believe I just finished packing about 1/2 hour ago?

Hey D.O.! Have an awesome time!! Don't drink too much champagne! After all, if you don't even remember what happens/stays in Vegas...! And remember we'll all be here waiting anxiously for some sort of trip report when you get back.

Oh no. I brought the dogs for a walk in the woods and now 1 smells like crap. So not in the mood to bathe a 124lb dog in my tub. Won't be as bad if I can get some help.

I spent the morning helping my parents with a yard sale. It was pretty much a bust, spitting on & off, light rain twice, grey all morning. We cme home briefly and did one project for DD. We had gone to Williamsburg, VA over the summer and DD's class will be talking about Williamsburg in a week or so. I got some display boards and made one of Williamsburg and one of Jamestown. Then we went back to my parents and they took us to a turkey dinner.

Then my Dad had to take us on a "Sunday drive" after dinner. It lasted an hour. Then we ran home and I did the last board and vacuumed at 9:15.

Good Morning

PaMom, you had a full day yesterday. I have helped with yard sales too. They can be a lot of work. Your visit to Williamsburg was perfect timing. That certainly makes school projects more interesting and more pleasant when you can relate to them. Last year my daughter studied the Civil War including Gettysburg. On our drive back from Memphis TN, she insisted we stop in PA to see Gettysburg. We stayed a few hours and loved it. I would love to go back when we have more time.

Yet again, don't mind me. Just posting to see my ticker. . .19 more days! The girls were excited last night when we took a green Mickey of the refrigerator and they realized we are in the teens!

Good grief SadieDog!....get the wood out!!! It's cooollld at night now! We ran the stove again last night, and at midnight when DH came to bed it was 32.4 outside, and 72 in the house....

We've discovered that this stove takes a bit to really get going, but once it does, boy does it heat up the house!

Tomorrow is DS8's birthday (gotta get used to writing DS9!) so we are having a little family celebration this afternoon when the in-laws bring them home from the retreat. I've got to go make the cake so it's cool enough to frost before they arrive!!

WARNING: *Start of in-law Rant*


So DH and I just got back from an errand, and there's a message on the machine from FIL. He's just letting us know that they were about to leave the camp, and when we could expect them. He then proceeds to "warn" me that the boys are VERY tired, and the younger two in particular "O.D.'d" (his exact words) on the ice cream sundaes at the final lunch a short time ago.... So I might want to keep that in mind and limit the ice cream and cake at the little party this afternoon or even put everything away and just wait until tomorrow.....

So. Mad. I. Could. SPIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I told DH, who just shook his head in disgusted disbelief, and I said "Then you know what?...I'm going to put it all away for now, and bring it out and have the party later on, just the 5 of us!"
