Afternoon all.

Hey Tink. Are you ultra busy today?

I can't see the picture you posted. It's just a red X in a box.

Anyone ever have a day where every single thing your kids do drive you up the wall? I'm sure a large part is because my DH is out of town for the week. But my oldest is just in the mood to fight with me on everything, lost her homework, then cried at me because now she'll get a C. Um, I didn't lose the homework. I gave her a folder to put the homework in so she wouldn't lose it. What else can I do? My littlest has decided instead of napping she's just going to talk non-stop to avoid napping. When I mean non-stop, she just won't shut up. I'm going bananas, and not the good babnanas.

 When part of the household is missing it just throws everything off kilter. (:lmao: Not the band) sounds like your little one is going to give her future teachers a run for their money. :goodvibes I always found that hugs work wonders in these situations. Tell them that mommy needs a hug. A BIG ONE!! :goodvibes

Yes.
Stupidly busy.

How 'bout now?:

You know the picture works when you try to do what the kitty is doing. Yes...I turned sideways to look at this picture. :rotfl2: Is this what happens when you drink all the rum? :rotfl:

Me too. I'd chuck my children in it. The White Witch wouldn't stand a chance.

Can I put my children in there, too? DS and DD1 fought all afternoon. They don't understand why they ended up in time out. DD punched DS in the stomach. DS then punched DD in the eye. What, am I unreasonable? I think between our five children together, the White Witch will just go ahead and retreat.

I guess I should be happy my kids aren't trying to kill each other. Just me. Very, very slowly. :headache:

Oh yes, I have 2 teenagers. I wouldn't want to (and couldn't on the DIS board) tell you the things that come out of their mouths.

On a good note, my son managed to make it through his 1st football game without being killed. Some of those players on the other team could snap him like a twig. He was only 92lbs in July.

ds8 just started football. I'm glad it is flag football.

A friend said she told her sons to give her a signal if they were tackled and okay. One of them didn't do it at a game. She was out on the field. Her other two sons never let a tackelt go by without signaling their mom. :rotfl:

Hi, everyone! Hope all of you have a Wednesday.

Yup, just a Wednesday:confused3

Hey, I said something similar a couple of weeks ago and got raked over the coals. I work with special needs kids at the High School level and this week they started their volunteer job sites. One of the sites is an Alpaca farm. We're going there twice a week(Wed. & Thur). Two kids each day. It was supposed to start today but didn't since the guy was in a car accident. I am one of the people who gets to take the kids so I'm kinda bummed. Buttttttt, silver lining here, the other lady who goes on Wed. will be out next week so I'll take her spot(going Wed. & Thur.) since my work site is cancelled for next week.

That sounds like my kid.

Our students don't get any work experience outside. I've asked the transition coordinator to set something up. We have one kid whose parent is going to sue us and she doesn't want to give the parent ammunition (ie--parent will swear the kid was promised money or something like that). So for now, we have work stations set up at the vocational center. Aug-Oct, they are doing hospitality. Nov-Jan, bricklaying. Feb-April, horticulture. We havn't figured May out yet. My job in the morning is to do functional literacy and math. Then they go to the vocational school

:lmao:
It's amazing how you can love them so much, yet at the same time wish you could close the door, stick your fingers in your ears, and yell, "LALALALALALA" over and over again just to drown out the noise.

Have you been spying on me? :rolleyes1

:lmao: No, but perhaps we should compare notes.

DD9 just took Copper in the room with her because her "bedtime is not until nine, and I don't expect anyone to tell me to put the dog out until my bedtime." :confused3 What is up with my 9 yo wanting to act like a teenager?

I don't know, I'll ask my DD9 when she decides to stop fighting me on everything I say. :rotfl2: I fear the teen years. :scared:

I know! I'll say, "Sweetie, can you ______?" There is always a reason why it can't be done, and if it can be done, it has to be done differently because who the heck knows the reason why--not even she knows. She fights everything. It started last year. I remember as a teenager "knowing everything". I don't remember having such a rebellious spirit at the age of 9. Maybe they start earlier now. :confused3

I remember being called a brat quite often starting around the age of 9. If my mom was still alive, she'd be laughing at me. Karma.
