I did get them 1 month apart. I NEVER planned on 2 and always said I would not have 2 puppies at once. NOT easy. I originally wanted a merle male, but the 4 merles were taken 1st as noone wanted mostly black dogs. I picked out my black with white female and we fell in love. However, for some reason I could not get 1 male out of my mind even though we loved our black female puppy so much. When we went to pick up our female, all the other dogs went outside and this 1 male stayed inside with us. He went to my daughter and sat beside her and kind of claimed us. We looked at each other and both said we wanted him and I think he wanted us. It's hard to explain, but we felt like he should be with us. 1 month later, we found out that he was returned b/c the original people decided a puppy was not for them. The lady really wanted us to have him. She had other people ask for him, but gave me 1st choice. Financially I knew it would be a struggle, but I knew he was meant to be with us. My daughter said if we got him then she would buy most of her own stuff such as school clothes. When we picked him up, the 2 dogs were beyond happy. He immediately got in the truck, looked us in the eyes and licked our faces. When we got home, he acted like he had always been there. He didn't even take time to walk around and sniff to check everything out. He just grabbed a toy, ran over to a bed and started playing. There was never an adjustment period or whining. It was like he had always been here. Sometimes things can't be explained, they were just meant to be.
