Tinkerbellarella - this is written primarily with you in mind (and Smileybug, don't worry, it's not a rhyme...!!)

We went to the "big city" yesterday to do some errands. Once we arrived we discovered there was a classic and anitque car festival right downtown on Main Street. Of course we stopped so the boys could see all this horsepower in one place.

The local shops had some sales going on. A few had their wares right outside on the sidewalk.

One had Croc flip-flops.

And they caught my eye....

And I stopped to look at them!!!!

But I didn't buy any. $30 is a bit too rich for my blood for a pair of flip-flops of any kind!

Then, a short time later we were in Target. And a funny thing happened on the way to the check-out.

A cute little bag caught my eye in the womens's accessories....and I stopped to look at that!!!

Alas, it remained on its hook in the store. First, I couldn't readily find a price and the rest of my party was already putting stuff on the conveyor at the register. And secondly, I couldn't justify it no matter the price, at the time.

But we are driving by that same Target this weekend....

and I'm half tempted to stop and see if said bag is still there, lonely on its hook, waiting for a friend...:rolleyes1

This is all your fault!!!!!

:rotfl2:

Ok.
a.) You have no idea how tempted I am to purchase you a pair of Croc flops so that you can understand the comfort. But I get you about the richness. Even I have a hard time justifying the cost. I want a pair of solid-color Capris but am struggling with paying another $32 dollars.
b.) Buy the bag. Buy the bag. Buy the bag. (For your friend. ;) )
and
c.) How sweet is it that you thought of me. And that I'm apparently turning some DISers into accessory/shoe queens in my image? LOL

I HAVE ACCESSORIES.!!!!....I HAVE SHOES....!!!!.. now do you think I'll get a tag??? Barb

tagless here! But in good company!

:welcome: aboard!

Please feel free to jump on in and chat! We can get carried away in our little discussions sometimes but they are open to anyone!! The more the merrier, anyway.

Or the weirder...

It's so nice to see new people on the thread. Makes me feel less of a youngun. Welcome everyone who is dropping in! :)

Good Morning

Yep, that's about right for a Monday.....small and blue.

:rotfl:

Somehow I just can't see myself sharing the joy of one of Smiley's typical greetings!! It IS Monday. Blar. And I get to go to work with the anxiety over telling my boss I won't be coming back to work after my vacation.... I need to tell them sooner than later, because they are looking ahead to the busy fall/holiday seaon and trying to plan orders.

Ugh....

Good luck with that!

Hello. I'm back. Had to change my ticker.

As you may know I've been planning a trip to Vegas. We were booked to stay at Paris but over the weekend got an email offer from Venetian. We've always wanted to stay there but the rates are downright salty. In case you aren't familiar - the Venetian hotel is themed after the city of Venice. It's a beautiful property complete with gondola rides, world class shops and restaurants. All rooms are suites with sunken living rooms and two plasma tvs. The bathrooms have LCD tvs. There are other amenities like fresh robes and slippers. :cloud9:

I'm excited! Getting an email offer from Vegas hotels is much like trying to get codes from Disney. Hard to come by -- except in Vegas if you are a high roller you can get it free --but we aren't high rollers and have to wait and see what's going to be offered to us. The deal we got on the room is pretty sweet and include tickets to see Blue Man Group.

AWSOME! I've never been to Vegas, but would love to stay at The Venetian.

Phew! I check in while on vacation and luckily see LegoMom left me a forwarding address. We only have internet in the lobby, so I just wanted to say a quick hi. We're having a nice relaxing time so far.

How very cool! I can't wait to hear what the Venetian is like. It was one of the few places I really wanted to see and missed.

Hi ya'll. Soooo how is your monday going?

Just another Monday, nothing special but fine.

My brother stopped by and gave me some native blueberries grown by our old neighbor, the house beside where we grew up. I decided to make blueberry pancakes for supper. I still have a few handfuls left to eat tomorrow. YUM Oh, he also said I could clean his house this week. Good thing b/c his b-day is Friday and I didn't have the extra $ to buy him more than a $5 gift. :rotfl2:

Good evening everyone!

I was just outside enjoying a nice evening in my yard with the two kiddos. DS6 has been very into baseball lately, so we've been tossing around the ball. He's getting quite good with his hitting! DS8 likes to play IF I throw the ball. He says his little brother doesn't throw hard enough and he can never hit it. Times like this make me wonder why we don't use our yard more often!

DS6 starts pony camp tomorrow and is SO excited. It's just for 3 days (today was already full) and for 3 hours in the morning. Looks like they'll have good weather, too.

Well, anyone else around tonight?
