....I'll let you guys know how 'The World of Harry Potter' is this summer....:rolleyes1

I think I'm going to go one of my days in Orlando in October. But I only have 5 days, so it's a toss up. Maybe I'll add a day. . .

My dog, Dega, went to the vet this morning for hernia surgery. I can call at 3:30 to see how she is doing. They thought she would be able to come home today. I hope so! My other dog was looking for her when I came home from work. I had to take her to work this morning. She sat in the car until it was time to drop her off. The vet is not far from daycare. She was so happy to go with me this morning, but little did she know what was in store. She is pretty friendly and walked off happily with the vet tech.

I hope she does well. I'll keep her in my thoughts. We just went through surgery and some traumatic stuff with one of our kitties at the end of last year (there's a synopsis on the Tink & TK TR link in my siggie). Thankfully she's doing well now but it was a rough go.

 Poor cat, what a freak accident. My cat had a cast like that a few years ago too. However, the injury was not as serious, he somehow broke 2 toes.

Freak accident is right. Whenever she goes to her vet now they say, "Oh, yes, Dory! The kitty with the knife!"

Good morning, babnanas!

I've been horrible at catching up here, so forgive me.

SadieDog, I hope your dog is better and can come home soon!

I have some good news, my doctor has recommended a reduction in hours, so I'll only be working 20 hours a week now, and still maintaining my Wed - Sat schedule. My branch is starting new extended hours on Monday, which means no more set schedule however, we are going to have a rotation. This will basically s-u-c-k when my son goes to kindergarten, but I figure I at least have part of my maternity leave to figure that all out, and let me just say, my tired pregnant body is so grateful to have shorter shifts, and to no longer have to do a 9 hour Friday.

I've had to get one of those belly bands for extra support, because everything is just pulling so much on my lower back, and let me tell you, that thing is like a god send. And shockingly, it only cost $18. Go figure. Most maternity type stuff is ridiculous.

So things are going well over here, the baby is doing fine, good strong heartbeat, everything is progressing as it should, and I'm enjoying a nice Friday morning to myself while DS is at preschool and DH is at work. I don't have to go in until 130. Color me happy. :goodvibes

That's great news about the reduced hours. I tried that with my first but my work said I couldn't do it. It was either all or start FMLA leave. Good price on the belly band. Mine was a back saver too.

Soooooo. DH is recovering from shoulder surgery and has been pretty depressed about it. He can't go back to work for another 2 weeks and workers comp will only pay us 66% of his pay for that time. Luckily, someone he freelances for offered him work he can do from home that will more than cover our loss. Can you guess what we're doing with the rest? pirate: We've cancelled our August BLT Grand Villa and booked a cruise instead. It will be a total surprise for the kids. They won't know until we get near the port the day of. I hope I can keep the secret. I'm very bad about that.

Well good luck with that!!....I don't think I could do it! But it'll be cool if you do surprise them. I'm thinking I'd really like to do a land/sea trip in two years for our 20th anniversary (yes, all 5 of us...Can't very well do a Disney cruise and not bring the kiddos...at least not the first time!)

Ok I need y'all's HELP!! Here's my dilemma...

I'm currently booked for a 3:00pm flight home from my trip. That means taking a Magical Express bus right around noon. I'm heading to Epcot that morning for EMH at 8:00, and thinking I'll need to be leaving the park by 11:00 to get back to Pop before noon.

Originally I was looking at a later flight (leaves 7pm) but ultimately decided against it because a) it's not non-stop, and b) gets in at 9:40pm and then i still have an 1-1/2 hr. drive home from the airport. DH doesn't mind either way; 4 hours in the evening won't matter in terms of whether I get home at 7pm or 11:30pm.

If I take the later flight, I'm afraid I'll be tired on that drive back. But, taking the earlier flight just makes that morning seem SO rushed. I don't want to be greedy, but I do have the 4-day passes so why not make full use of them?! This may be the only solo trip I get to do.

Whadda ya think??!:confused3

Take the later flight. You'll be tired when you get home either way. At least if you stay at the park, it'll be worth the exhaustion and the use of the pass.
