My old car that died on me. It's a Saturn Vue.

I went to Chevy to "buy" a Cobalt. It was a $19,000.00+ car that we paid just over $9,000.00.

I then proceeded down the road two miles to get this Subaru Forester.

I did this because GM offered me fantastic rebates/incentives. I got more money for the Cobalt at the Subaru dealer than I would've gotten for my repaired Vue.

Great "wheeling" and dealing. :thumbsup2

.

My mom has only ever driven Subarus and I think it's all she ever will drive. One saved her life, as a matter of fact. It rolled over doing 65, ended up upside down in the median, all the windows blown out, with her hanging in the seatbelt. She walked away, literally, with only a scratch on her hand.

I like them too but the price point is a little high for my budget right now. So I'll continue on with my little 06 Civic. Her name is Lola.

Anybody else name their cars or am I the only weirdo in the room?

Wow, your Mom is lucky. I've had too many car accident deaths in my family over the years.

My cars are older when I buy them so you could afford my Subarus. :rotfl2: Mine 2000 has 174,000 miles and it will be passed to my daughter soon. There is a lady in FL coming back beginning of May and we plan on buying her Forrester when she returns. Honda is a great car too.

Ummmmm, nope, have not named any of my cars.

....whoop-de-doo fer yer SUBARU....:teeth:

pppppppphhhhhhhhhhhhbbbbbbbbbbtttttttttt!!!! (that's computer for rasberries ya know).

She has 'after' pictures of the car somewhere. It's hard to believe she walked away. It was a total fluke accident. There was a state trooper traveling behind her at the time and when she approached the car after it stopped rolling she was shocked to see my mom hanging there. She actually said to my mother, "I can't believe this. I was preparing myself to have to look for your body. I thought for sure you'd been ejected."

I'm a Believer and God is good.

I'm sorry to hear for your losses. For me car accidents are some of the hardest ways to lose loved ones (not that it's ever easy) because a simple run around the corner can end tragically.

My parents had a Subaru GL for most of my childhood. I think when they traded it in it had well over 250K mi. on it!

Also, a cute aside, my parents names are Suzanne and Bruce and when they got their very first car, a used Subara wagon, they talked about getting a vanity plate that read 'SU BRU'. They're dorky. I love 'em.

Yo.

Ho.

A laundress' life for me.

:laundy:

Bless my husband, he did all our laundry and house cleaning yesterday.

I, however, sweetened the pot with fresh baked bread and a lemon pie. And then proceeded to collapse on the couch for the remainder of the evening.

Morning TK! How's the little pirate and the pirate in training treating you?

Hey there! Kiddos are great. Five year old is awesome, baby is doing fine, it's me that's all a shambles. I've been getting nasty Braxton Hicks, and it doesn't really matter what I do, work, errands, etc, I just get them. I got a belly band and it helps, but when I take it off, oh boy.

I have a doc appt Tuesday, I'm going to discuss with them how this is affecting me physically and mentally. It's emotionally draining. The plus is that the baby is just fine. And quite active. It's rare that he's not moving or kicking me. :thumbsup2

No, not really. ;)

I disagree.

"Man who does laundry" is also of great importance. I happen to have one of my own and can confirm they are not of mythic origin like Nessie or the chupacabra.

I have to put said laundry away but he washes and dries.

Oh...and TK...

Don't make me come down there and sign you off of the Disney Reservations site myself!!!

You know it's like Jurassic Park or The Mummy Returns, when all you can think is, don't run into the long grass!

Disney is my long grass.

I so just need a break, and I'm thinking I'm defaulting to that because it's my norm.
