Well, I just pulled myself out of teh Biggest Loser challenge. With work, home, the kids going through catechism, which is an animal I thoroughly did not expect to be so big, and current obligations through my trip reports, I am trying to trim down my DIS time. I can't keep up with the whole speed of the challenge, and there are a lot more people in the challenge than I expected!

It's understandable; you are very busy.

Please tell - what is catechism ?

Up until 2007 I received pin codes by mail quite often - then nothing for quite awhile or nothing very good.
Then last November I was looking into a quick trip down with a friend and saved some offer on the www.disneyworld.com site.....2 pin offers mentioning my saved info saying of my dates were flexible etc. Did not go or book for later.

Go forward, did the same thing and low and behold more pin codes...I have now received 5 since November 29! I checked the pins so not the same numbers...4 are for the 20%, 30%, 40% and the best one is for 30%, 35%, 40% - all of the 5 are good for dates until next December.

Swear I never put it together why these codes were showing up all of a sudden, but lately it's pretty obvious. I would definitely go in, log in, plan a trip, save it, then when leaving the site answer the pop-up questions about why you did not book - I always check was not the best value. Good luck!!

Me too! Just when I'm about to respond to something, I see the situation has already been resolved. I guess we're not needed anymore.

I got yelled at by a guy at work today because he went to Epcot yesterday and there was a race going on. I told him "That's exercise, I don't pay attention to any of that." He said they blocked off the World Showcase until after 1, so he hopped over to MK. Good thing he had a hopper or I'd have really been in trouble.

You need to wear a t-shirt with a disclaimer on it. "I am an expert of all things Disney." But in the interest of the enjoyment of your trip. It is your responsibility to check the calendar. And don't forget to add a place for the I accept or do not accept boxes.

You know, I forget mine at the bank all the time. For example. Someone hands you a check at the drive thru. It has an account number on the back. You mistakenly assume that they want the check cashed, as there is nothing else with it.

NO, no, no, silly non-pyschic bank teller. After the customer sees you count out all the money and put it in an envelope they say, I wanted that deposited.

Did you say you took one of your kiddos at four months old? I'm just wondering did you use a stroller, baby sling, what was your preferred method of transport?

Just talked to my dad's wife...he's progressing nicely. She said he had pulled out his own breathing tube, which if you knew my dad, that is SO something he'd do!! Good news, really. I'm looking forward to heading over there in a few weeks (is it awful to say that I also really miss Florida and can't wait to just BE there again??).


creativeamanda, I just wanted to say that I'm not "following" the Biggest Loser thread either -- at ALL. WAY too busy and no way I could keep up. I'm just sending in my weigh-in every Friday. It's a way for me to keep accountable and keep going. As weight-loss goes, I don't really need to lose a lot, but some days it seems that these last few pounds just won't budge despite my efforts at exercise and trying to watch what I eat. VERY discouraging. So, at least for now, I'm going to keep doing the weigh-in.

Actually my day is starting fantastically. My DS slept over my parents last night so I'm enjoying a morning of quiet.

I relish it because in 6+ months, this will not be the case.

I don't know about the last. But they are going to have to find someone that clicks with at least most of the fans quickly. I'm looking forward to seeing how Ellen fits in this season too.

Sadiedog, while I have a quick minute, I'll explain catechism to you.

In many different Christian denominations, children before they become confirmed members have to learn the tenants of the faith. We are Presbyterians, and we therefore have children learn the shorter catechism based on the Westminster confession of faith. The shorter catechism is 145 questions and answers that the children learn before going before the church session for confirmation.

That's a long answer to a topic we aren't really supposed to discuss, but there you have it. It's keeping me busy and I have decided to trim down the things that don't matter. THis is something I waited for my kids to tell me they wanted to do (catechism). I haven't pushed them or anything, but now that they have said they are ready for it, I am obligated as a parent to help them through it.

So that's why everything is trimming down for me now.
