Hey LegoMom - very scary about your bank card. I use mine all the time, too and worry about fraud. It's a whole different story when the money is coming directly out of your account verses a credit card. Glad you caught it sooner than later.

I am so pooped. I worked 10.5 hours today. Not a good way to start third shift tomorrow night.

SmileyBug - a HOUSE!?! Holey-moley, I would have flipped! Our bank is taking care of it very quickly (they actually had my card "frozen" before I called, which is why I couldn't use it, because the activity seemed suspicious).

We just went out for ice cream at a stand - they have THE best ice cream around and of course like most such places, they close for the season next weekend. We were sitting on a picnic table eating our ice creams, bundled up in fleece or sweatshirts, and looking at how many people were in line to eat something cold on a chilly evening..."Only in New England" it occured to us! Anyone from the deep south would think we're NUTS! However, unlike southerners, once winter comes and the cold sets in we all hole up in our little hovels and arent' seen again until mid-April!

Mean Queen...I have a question for you. Since you go to Disney so often would it be better for ya'll to buy into the DVC? I was just curious. We have been checking into buying into the WL villa's. Had the info sent. That was just before we decided to build our house. So for now things are on hold as far as purchasing a DVC. We like the idea of the DVC. But not completely sold on it so we always like to hear opinions about it.

We own SSR at DVC... 400 points. And we're always thinking we need more. It was one of the best decisions we've made. We are able to make even more trips than we did before, for about the same amount we were paying for Value hotels. It also gives us vacation options outside of Disney (I know, heresy!) We went to Disney's Hilton Head Island resort for New Years last year and are going again this year (so it's technically outside of Disney, even though it's a Disney resort.) I think the minute you can afford it, go for it. You'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner... I know we do.

LegoMom - How scary! I had a friend this happened to a few weeks ago. They had 2 $750 charges on their Discover card to "pay pal" though this card was not attached to their pay pal account nor did they buy anything from pay pal with it. It's good banks are being very quick about dealing with these things. Though I'm sorry you had to go through this.

It took us over a year to clear this up and get things removed from our credit. We don't know how they got our info. We live in SC they were in Conn. Be very dilligent will all of your info. I can't stand it when I use a card and the cashier doesn't look and any ID or your signature. At Walmart you just tear a check out and hand it to them. I don't even have to sign it anymore. (they never ask for ID) what if I lost my checkbook and someone picked it up. The only thing they are worried about is if it does go through at the register. ID theif has been made incredibly easy for any thief. Sorry for the vent. This is still a sore subject for us even though it was several years ago now.
