I've been dying to get a hot stone massage! You'll have to let us know how it goes. I love pedicures, especially the ultimate ones. I think I need to get one now!

My niece has had the hot stone massage and she said they are incredible. She had one while very pregnant too.

I wasn't saying that. It's just when I watch a show like Super Nanny, I feel like my kids behavior issues are nothing... and it makes me feel good. I watch a show with a true genius kid, and I wonder why my 8-year old daughter is wasting her time playing with dolls when she could be out curing cancer. So I avoid those shows.

It's great that your DD still plays with dolls. Kids don't want to be kids anymore. Hubby and I were just talking about that. The things that our kids have faced and what it will be like when we finally have grandkids. It's kind of sad.

Yeah, yeah...I'm here! I'm still adjusting to the new schedule of my DS10 going off to school on the 6:55am bus....

I heard him get up at 6:00 and take a shower, then I must have dozed back off because the next thing I know it's 6:30 and I still have to pack his lunch!! He made it, fortunately.

But I'll tell ya, there's nothing quite like a little Rope Drop music to start your day right!

It's been overcast and humid the past 2 days. I almost feel like we're in Seattle. I wouldn't mind a little rain because that usually helps cool things down. Since I'm on the coast, the storms hit hard and leave quick usually. But right now, it's just a big black Charlie Brown cloud over the state.

I'm so happy to be off work today and tomorrow. I've worked there nearly a year with only four days off. This is the first time taking off a Thursday and a Friday. I feel a song from the The Pointer Sisters coming on.

I'm trying to have a nice day off but there's a friend who's determined to ruin it. She ihas $$ problems right now, mainly because she doesn't manage it properly, but that's another story. Her car hasn't been working so she called me Monday and asked if I could give her a ride to pay her cell phone bill so she could get it turned back on. I told her I couldn't because I was on my way to work. So she asked if I could pay it over the phone and pick up the $$ later so I said sure. Phone got turned back on, everything was great. I told her I would pick up the $$ today and she said ok.

Yesterday I sent her a text asking what time I could stop by. No response. I called her several times, no answer. I sent a few more text, no response. Sent another one this morning asking if everything was ok. She finally text me back to say "I'm at my mom's." It wasn't clear to me what that meant, so I called. No answer. I sent her another text about an hour ago asking to stop by and get the $ and still no response. I think she's avoiding me.

I hope that's not the case because I would hate to lose a friend over $60. But at the same time, I will be upset if she doesn't pay up. If she had asked to borrow the $60 I would have said no because she is bad with $$. I only paid the bill because she said she had the $$ and I could come and pick it up. It's really upsetting me to think she might not pay me back. $60 is not the end of the world, but she still needs to pay me back.

I take back all my earlier weather complaints. While we still have a big Charlie Brown cloud over the state, it's because we have a cold front over us. So instead of walking outside and immediately breaking out into a sweat, I actually felt a nice breeze. It's in the low 80's/high 70's right now! Woo hoo! My A/C won't know what to do with itself with this temporary break.

It sounds like you're really going to need that hot stone massage. I know I tend to be bad about remembering to pay my friends back, not because I don't plan to, but because I'm forgetful. But it does sound like your friend is avoiding you rather than just forgetting she owed you money. I hope things get straightened out so you can get your much deserved spa day.

I hate being in situationsa like this. Seems like you feel guilty no matter what you do. But my suggestion to you would be to forget about it for today and tomorrow. Please try to enjoy your time off.

Don't you just love these kind of days. I've had our AC off for the last 2 days. Today is really rainy. I just heard thunder so we might be in for a bit of a storm.
