GOOD MORNING YA'LL!!

:surfweb:

I think we need something exciting to discuss. Anyone have any ideas? And it has to be more exciting than trying to guess how many socks your washer eats. :lmao:
LegoMom...I still haven't read back. Do you have a new kitten?

ITA with the discussion idea!!! I have never seen this thread so slow.... kinda scares me...:scared:

Smileybug maybe you and I could start.

And yes, we have a new kitten. Sadly, no name yet. But there is a pic of her back a couple of pages (don't worry, you don't have to go back too far....as you noted it took 3 days just to get to a new page...).

I'm very glad it's Friday!!! I'll be glad of the paycheck today but earlier this week was a real bugger at work (the fabric we were using was AWFUL to work with). Today I should be in the final building steps of each box, which means I can put on my MP3 player and chill out in the back room!

Weather today is going to be HOT. Low 90s. Tomorrow DS11 leaves for camp out in NY state. Tonight the kids have their last VBS session at church. DS6 is going to either do riding camp for 3 days next week (pending space available) or soccer camp the following week. After DS11 gets home from his camp on Aug. 2, the activities are over and it's 100% get ready for Disney!!!:woohoo:

Ok I've rambled on long enough.

Someone else's turn to post! Smileybug if you can come up with a discussion topic, please start one!!

Today does sound like a better day for you. I think your DS11 is going to have a lot of fun at camp. I'm sure you will miss him though. :goodvibes You are going to have to share every second of "getting ready" for Disney. :thumbsup2 I'm so afraid something is going to stop our trip I just try not to think about it to much. (Only every 5 minutes instead of every 3:lmao: :lmao: ) This is the most expensive trip we have ever planned. But I think it is going to be well worth it. We even asked the kids if they wanted to take a cruise instead and they said no. I was shocked. So right now it's Disney here we come. Oh well, Now look who is rambling....

Do you have any names in the running for the new kitty? I'll have to go back and look for his picture. Have a great day. Talk to you later.:goodvibes

Well, DS8 and I like the name Eowyn (from Lord of the Rings, in keeping with Pippin's theme) and calling her Winnie for short (Tinkerbellarella said the SAME thing!!).

DH suggested Sandy (for her coloring).

DS11 wants it to be Millie.

And DS6 just likes Kitty....

So there we are.

And yes I intent to share every last little plan, thought or whim in regards to our trip, even if I bore everyone to tears!! :rotfl:

Hello all! I'm also happy it's Friday. DH and I are getting our first night away from the kids tomorrow night since before DD2 was born. We're going to Orlando of course. We're staying at the Omni and hitting Pleasure Island at night. We plan to have dinner at Fulton Crab. I did look into Victoria and Albert's but :scared1: it was a bit more than we wanted to spend.

The deadline to pay for our Thanksgiving cruise is coming up. Unfortunately, things aren't looking great at my DH's work. He keeps getting conflicting messages. One week they are all getting their bonuses (though small) the next week their contracts are only extended for 3 months rather than a year. We have to decide if we want to pay for the cruise and risk him not having a job or having a new job in November. Or cancel the cruise and risk having to be with family for Thanksgiving. :scared1: :scared: If I go back to work, then we won't worry so much (as long as they don't mind me taking that time off.) So we're yet another household in economic turmoil.

Now, how about a more uplifting conversation? Anyone? Bueller?

This morning I took the girls out for breakfast and then to the Disney store. The kids are really enjoying the new car, even though dd9 was mad at me for trading in the Explorer. We are officially getting 38.6 MPG on average and although it's a smaller car, the kids are still small and when a couple of years have passed, we'll be getting another car that's larger (but at the same time keeping the Focus--dd9 can have it as her first car in 6 all to short years).

We've almost decided to get rid of the dining plan on our upcoming trip and taking food for breakfasts, eating lunch out of a cooler, etc. We are financially in a bind right now because dh was informed that his coaching addition is not going to come through and we were counting on that addition as spending money for Disney. So our choice is 1. no DDP or 2. shorten our trip by 2 days, making it a 4-day trip (1 day at each park). We already have 3/4 of the trip paid for, as I have been making monthly payments towards it. I'm leaning towards the 4-day trip, as when we were at the beach, the kids started crying on the 3rd day they wanted to go home.

I am off camping for a quick 2 nights stay. I'll catch up on reading what I have missed when I return. Hope all of you have a nice weekend.

GOOD MORNING YA'LL!!

Sorry I wasn't around yesterday. I had a horrible headache. But now ya'll do. Because I'm baaaaack!! :lmao:

LegoMom...I like the name Eowyn and the nickname Winnie. That is really cute!! :thumbsup2

Mean Queen...I'm sorry ya'll are facing those decisions. But one thing I keep telling myself is...Disney will still be there next year!! :goodvibes I'm really starting to suspect that our trip isn't going to happen. Hubby wants to put the money into finishing some projects around the house rather than putting it in Disney's hands.

creativeamanda...The mileage on your car sounds like heaven. I'm so glad you are enjoying it. :thumbsup2

SadieDog...I hope ya'll have a great time camping!! :goodvibes

I don't know how much I'll be on today. We are supposed to go and look at some brick. Hubby wants to tear out our wooden front steps and put in brick ones. And then we will do a combo brick and cement walkway to the front drive.

Hi ya!

Another day, another pa-- Oh, no, wait....still the same page.
:rotfl2:

I don't have too much planned today. DH is taking DS11 out to camp in NY state, so he'll be gone all day. I have some house cleaning to do but other than that me and the other two kiddos will be taking it easy. It's another hot one today and I've been running the A/C since yesterday afternoon so it's comfy in here!

I should work on that next installment of my PTR, and of course there is always scrapbooking!

.

Just checking in before I head out for my adult getaway!!!! Though we are taking the girls out for breakfast before we leave. I'll have a Kungaloosh in you honor at the Adventurer's Club.

I'm back from vacation. Tomorrow I'll catch up on all that was fit to post. :lmao: I'm exhausted. Naturally I did all of the driving, about 250 miles or so to Williamsburg one way. Driving all over the place down there. All of the cooking, cleaning, buying. It was like I was at home, except in a different place.

God it will feel good on Monday to go to work. :rotfl:

GOOD MORNING YA'LL

Anyone want to run away with me?

Sure, where we headed??......Disney World?!!!! :lmao:

Seriously, why are you running away? Tell us all about it.

Well I have two cats tearing it up around here this morning. The smallest one just tried to launch herself up on my lap, only she misjudged the distance by about 6 inches and landed smack on my thigh and hung on for dear life.....:scared1:

Ouch. Pain.

Today's a hang-out-at-home day. DH drove all day yesterday so he's still asleep! I didn't get up until 8:55 so that means we miss church (starts at 9:30 in the summer...). The in-laws are stopping by later today for a quick visit on their way home from somewhere; maybe we'll go out for ice cream!

Your kitties sound like fun. Even the pain. :lmao: There is nothing like a kitten. :goodvibes There really isn't anything wrong. I'm just tired and out of sorts. CRANKY :rotfl: I just feel like I need to get away. And I would rather it be a girls trip. I think I'm in need of a gab fest. With maybe a little crying and screaming thrown in with the laughter for good measure. :grouphug:

Hope you enjoy the in-laws. :thumbsup2

Hellloooooo! I'm back from my romantic weekend getaway. We stayed at the Omni ChampionsGate. It's one exit south of Disney. It is a great hotel. The pool area has a lazy river, slide, splash area and 3 zero entry areas. Though it was a bit packed making the lazy river not so lazy. We did get up early this morning and it was very relaxing. DH and I were the only ones in the river for a few rounds.

We had dinner at Fulton Crab, saw a movie (Get Smart), then headed to Pleasure Island. We saw a comedy show at the Warehouse then spent the rest of the night in the Adventurer's Club. I really love that place. It is a lot of fun interacting with the characters. There were a lot of regulars who said they plan to go as much as possible until it closes on 9/27. I met one who just recently joined the Dis Boards! The one bad thing was the blender was broken so I got a Kungaloosh on the rocks. Not quite as good as the real thing.

My DD2 did great on her first overnight stay with someone else. She was happy to see us, but my friend said she wasn't bothered at all that we weren't there. Now it's time for us all to relax, and maybe get a nap.
