Hi, all. Hope you all are having a great Tusday! I am officially out of work for the next 2 weeks! Hooray!

Legomom, did you name the kitty? DH is now swearing he sees a hidden Mickey on one of our chickens.

That's why we have a computer for each member of the household. DH and I each have laptops. DD8 has our old PC and DD2 now uses her old PC (with all the same games she played as a kid.) When we upgrade, we just hand the old one down. My DD8 is really hoping I get a new laptop soon. :surfweb: Yes, she knows she's spoiled.

WOW, computer for each person. Sounds great. We tried to use our old one as a 2nd computer, but it's so slow you want to toss it out the window when you try to use it. We have never had a laptop but will have to think of purchasing one for my daughters HS graduation. She probably should have one for college.

I enjoyed my family sooooo much. Hated to see then leave today. My brothers surgery went VERY WELL yesterday. We couldn't be more pleased.

So glad to hear your brother's surgery went well.

Hmmmmm, what's it like to get along with family so well? :rotfl2:

Ok, really, it's like you people have lives or something suddenly.... I mean come on, what else could you possibly be doing in the summertime besides sitting around DISing??? :rotfl2:

So, in the interest of keeping this thread alive, I'll offer my morning greeting before heading off to work.

Happy Wednesday!!!

:dance3:

IT'S WEDNESDAY???
When did that happen? I've lost a day somewhere.:confused3

GOOD MORNING YA'LL!!
It's back to regular life. I have to go grocery shopping today. And I have to go to the hospital to irritate my brother. (not really, he's the one that does the irritating. :lmao: )

HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!
:thumbsup2

Morning all! I went in to work yesterday. Let me get your thoughts. I am currently working freelance for my old job. A full-time job opened up, but thanks to government cuts, it was cut. It will be replaced with a part-time (24 hour a week) job in September. My boss said it's mine if I want it. While I love my job, I also love staying home. I'm also very picky about child care. There aren't a lot of options that I would be happy with. I'm not worried about my oldest. My job is right by her new school and I could set my hours to go with her school hours. So here's where I'm torn. I love being home with my little one, but I don't think she gets enough stimulation. She watches way too much TV and we only do one or two activities out of the house a week. If she goes to preschool, she'd be with other kids and be active. But then I'd get less time with her.

Thoughts, opinions?

Irritating a sibling. . .That's my son's favorite thing to do :)

Hope you have a great day.

One of the hardest things I did was send my dd6 to preschool. But she did so much better there. I don't know--can you fit that work time into a couple of days per week and only send her to preschool a couple of days? Either way, you'll make the best decision for your family. :goodvibes

I get to go sit at the dealership for an hour or so this afternoon so they can get my car programmed to the key that just came in for it. (You can't just get a key made anymore can you) I don't know what to do except take my laptop and work on paperwork for work while I am there.

Have a great day--I'm on my way out :) :goodvibes

I'm looking at working M-Th from 8:30-3. I could change the day off to fit my DD's school schedule but still have the daycare for the little one to cover my changing. There are not many part-time preschools around here. The one I really like is $600 a month. :scared1: So I'd essentially have to make over $600 with this part-time job to make it worthwhile. Many of the preschools either require a 2-year old to be potty trained, are in not so great areas, or are run by churches. The church run facilities are not monitored by the state, so they don't have to follow the same strict guidelines (no spanking, classroom sizes, background checks etc.) Plus, I'm not religious. If I can make enough, I'm leaning towards taking the job. I'd be able to pay off our DVC a lot quicker.

GOOD MORNING YA'LL

I know you and your hubby will weigh everything out. Not just the cost of day care. But gas, will you need a new clothes, will you be eating lunch out every day? You don't want to take a job that is going to end up costing you money. :sad2: But doing something like this isn't always about money. Are you feeling like you need something more for you? Would your little one benefit from a little more socialization? I know you will do what feels right for you and your family. :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

LegoMom ~ has the kitteh been christened?

I am sorry to report that the kitteh remains nameless at this point in time....:sad2: Trying to get 5 people to all agree is turning out to be quite an ordeal.

Anyone around? I popped in so I thought I'd say something for a change, even though I don't see any recent posts!

I have to start an early dinner soon so I can't stay long.

On the cat scene, Little Miss Pushy just ate her way through most of Pippin's dinner!! I ended up putting more food on a plate for him, the poor guy. He's used to eating a peaceful meal.... Now, not so much! :rotfl:
