I'm going to guess regular b/c I don't know what sweet is? How is it different, just more sugar? Also, I have never had cornbread that has actual pieces of corn in it.

Sweet cornbread is just that. Sugar is put in the batter. It isn't sweet like cake. But to sweet for me to want to eat with a meal. Does that make sense? And you can put all kinds of stuff in cornbread. Some of it is really good!!

You can really throw about anything yo want including cream corn. Just adjust your cornmeal so the batter doesn't get to soupy.

If I put cream corn in my corn bread, I would have my family try it 1st without them knowing. The thought would turn them off, but I bet they would like it.

My daughter starts her 1st "long" day of work today. Her schedule is Tues - Fri noon -5pm. I thought it was great that she doesn't have to work any nights or weekends and she has a long weekend all summer, but she is unhappy this morning. 2 of her friends are heading to the coast and she is upset she has to work. "This sucks, I have to work all day and they are going out and having fun."

It is a good job with a good schedule, but she is too focused on the negative right now.

Yesterday I went to the vet to weigh my puppies b/c I will be purchasing their heartworm preventative next week. I was surprised they were 86 and 103 lbs. They sure don't look like puppies.

They are 1/2 Great Dane and 1/2 Saint Bernard. Mom was a pure breed Saint and Dad a pure Dane. They will be 7 mos Thursday. They are funny beasts.

Yes, my monsters were not the best financial choice but I have wanted a giant breed my entire life and I finally have them. When my Dear Sadie, a shepherd greyhound mix died a year ago from cancer, I spent months looking. I was beyond thrilled to find them even though I had to drive next to the Canadian border to see them.

A moving splat would be cool.

We can say the same about you! Your daughter's friends won't be able to do much once they run out of money. While your daughter may not have all the time, she'll have the money to do stuff when she does find time.

Welcome back! Has anyone made the Chi Chi's Mexican Corn Cake mix? It's really good. You can find it in the mexican food section. We use it as a side dish, though it really tastes more like a dessert.
