I finally went to get her. I could've used that lasso, though. Been a busy day. I have:
redone my technology inventory, since it was saved on the stolen computer
put grades in the computer for another teacher
hunted that other teacher down
worked with a kid with autism
turned in my phone, laptop, and document finder from the classroom I taught in 1/2 day
turned in the VI equipment
printed my Disney touring plan cards (because the computer was on already)

Yeah--today after I posted that I had not been deflowered by the tag fairy I realized that is just one of those stupid things that could become a tag.

You don't have to be mean, just say something really dumb that you'll have to explain over and over again, once it's a tag!! (didn't Smileybug say that already?!?...)

Also, I just want to say here that I hope no one took my ramblings about staying home as a jab at those who don't...! I totally agree that we all need to do what's best for us and our families, and every family is different. I'm just trying to come to terms with my own decision and sometimes putting down in print can help sort out thoughts, y'know?!

Ok, my cat is now sitting on my mouse pad and trying to nibble the mouse cord.... Nah, he doesn't own me...!

I think that you have thought this decision out and are making the best decision for you and your family for this period in your life. Don't let anyone make you feel wrong for it. We went to one income when my children were young because I was against daycare for infants. It was a struggle and one of the hardest things I ever did. I also found out I was not good at it and was very ready to go back to work when my youngest was 3. Hang in there and remember that we are always here for you.
