The banana formation makes me smile.
My daughter is going to a college fair today. Hopefully that will be positive and get her thinking more seriously or thiking about it at all.
And make sure you send a babnana with her. Babnanas are higher in potasium.

. "Tougher in Alaska" is on tonight. If we can't resolve the signal issue before the weekend, I have a tech scheduled to come out on Sunday and properly aim the dish.
So, I have my TV back.
Sort of.
For some reason, we can't seem to get a signal for any of the HD channels. Which is really weird, because the same channel in non-HD will come in (for example, Discovery Channel is on 182, and comes in fine....Discovery HD is on 183, and won't come in).
But, at least I can watch my shows again!!

I can live without the TV, but Internet....forget it!! A couple of years ago, before I realized we had DSL out here, I had cable Internet and the company was constantly having outages. That was annoying enough, but once it lasted over a WEEK!

Even the supposedly "good" kind.
Hey everyone. Hope you all had a good day. I spent the day shopping with DD. It's been a while since we have had a girls day out. But while we were leaving the drive way. (It's quite a long drive.) I saw my first snake of the season. It was a rat snake, about 4 feet long.
I don't even like the dead kind.

Hey everyone. Hope you all had a good day. I spent the day shopping with DD. It's been a while since we have had a girls day out. But while we were leaving the drive way. (It's quite a long drive.) I saw my first snake of the season. It was a rat snake, about 4 feet long.
We were on our deck last fall when we heard some commotion in the leaves near the trees. Suddenly a toad came hopping out with a Garter snake in hot pursuit!! The toad was quite ahead of the snake, so it went under the deck (which is 4-6 feet off the ground, so it's wide open and you can see under there) and then sat still. Along comes the snake, stopping every couple of feet to stick out its tongue and "smell" for the toad. It would move its head, look around, move a bit in one direction, "smell" again, adjust its direction, and it really did move closer to the toad! It was so cool to watch! When it got too close, the toad took off again. This time it went under the ramp to our shed, and the snake never did find it.
