Hey everyone, i'm just spending a lazy saturday playing sims. Till tonight; I got a date! I'm really nervous. I hope it goes well!

DD & I went to DC on an "on your own" tour bus trip last spring. When we saw Night at the Museum 2 it was so cool that we saw all the things in real life and they were in the movie.

That would make it really neat.

...I spent the day cleaning, cleaning, cleaning......oh yeah, did I mention that I was CLEANING??!??! I put up our tree in the dining room too, and decorated our powder room on the main floor of the house....

Why do we call them powder rooms? I've always wondered about that.

We got as far as putting the lights on the tree. My son got out my Dept 56 houses and accessories. They are sitting on my bay window ready to be set up another day.

Getting the lights on the tree is a big start. But now you have the fun stuff in front of you. Where do you put your village? Mine (it isn't Dept. 56 ) is under the big tree and I love it there. I was just telling my oldest DS that now I don't know where to put the presents.

Smileybug, I think "powder room" goes way back to when ladies would actually go there to re-powder their nose/face! Or, similarly, it could refer to stage shows where powdered makeup was applied liberally before a performance.

Wow, that was a lot of cerebral effort for so early on a Sunday morning.....

Smiley, I though if I didn't put presents under the tree that it would be a good place for a village. I will put them on the bay window and a small table up against the window. I have 5 houses and lots of outdoor accessories like streams, waterfall, bridge over a stream and a campsite. They were all gifts.

I've been checking out Accuweather's 15-day forecasts. It looks like semi-winter will hit Florida while I'm there--the low for the night of the Christmas party? 43 degrees, with realfeal like 37 degrees.

Why couldn't just stay warm for a few more days? I guess I won't need shorts. . .

The weather has been very odd lately. A few days ago, I had my a/c on. Today, it was 48 when I woke up, with a high of 65. By Wednesday, the high will be 78 and rainy. Then Friday low of 70. I would bundle up for the night, but during the day you never know what you're going to get.

We had temps reaching 60 on Thursday.
