I have to do a tiny bit of bragging, if you all don't mind.

I am so proud of my son. He just had his second visit to the dentist, and this time went through the full cleaning. And he's four! WOO HOO! And they are just wonderful with kids, it's a family focused place, they even have TVs at every chair so the kiddos can watch TV while they're getting their teeth cleaned.

Well, I started my Christmas shopping today. I'll be at it again tomorrow.

Snow storm expected to start tomorrow mid morning. They are assuming it will be an early release from school. That means no coming home for lunch for me. I will have to be there from 7:30 - 5pm. Due to the school age children, our #'s will be over. It will be a VERY LONG day. That many kids will exhaust me.

Good morning. School has already been cancelled even though the storm has not started. It's supposed to start heavy mid morning. Will be a SUPER BUSY day at daycare.

I just saw some similar posts from friends on Facebook in various parts of New England! Hasn't started yet but schools closed anyway due to the timing. I remeber that happening a few times last year in NH. And, I also remember a few times that I kept them home because our school district was the ONLY one to NOT call a snow day! Busses have wrecks, too!!


So I came down with a rotten cold, very suddenly last evening. It's all concentrated in my sinuses.....ugh. Could be worse, I suppose, but I feel pretty crummy! Now I have to bundle up and schlepp out to feed the horse and put his blanket back on. It was 54 when I went to bed last night.....it's 34 now!!!!

I have been doing some more "stealth" shopping on-line! Y'know, I really try to do the "shop local" bit and support my local economy. But when the stores are MOBBED and tend to be out of what you're looking for anyway, I just don't have the time or patience to brave the crowds and spend all day driving from one store to the next....


Tomorrow is DS7's birthday. I need to do his cake and send DH out to get his present later! I wish my head would clear up!! Might go take a nice hot shower and just stand in the steam.....

Hey ya'll. I decided to not go shopping today. The weather is just to weird. Very stormy off and on. We were under a tornado watch all morning.

LegoMom, I'm sorry you aren't feeling well.

kimmar, If I do your shopping, it might not get done until after Christmas. And you know.....If you make reservations to put food on your teeth....well, it only makes sense that you would make reservations to take the food off your teeth.

i was jealously admiring your guys' tags and i saw yours creativeamanda; 'one slithering around on me? no way, jose'

and i thought it was funny that it rhymed but couldn't get the rythem down. i was like 'the syllables don't match up for it to be a nice rhyme.'

until i realized that the rhyme was 'way' with 'jose'

and it dawned on me that normal people don't say joe-zee, it's hoe-zay.
