Good morning.

LegoMom, I know all about dogs that get stinky. :rotfl2:

Cool! I love that show. They make some amazing looking cakes. I always wonder if those types of cakes ever taste as good as they look. Or is it just all show?

DD had to put up with me saying, "There it is! There it is! There it is! Hehehehe." when I spotted it. Sometimes you just have to confirm you're wierd.

LOL! And was it yummy? Since I'm on weight watchers, I have to limit my peppermint mocha's, especially the black and white ones. The white chocolate has lots more calories than the regular. I try to stick to nonfat caramel macchiatos. Tasty, but a little less points. I am determined to lose weight, but I'm not going to totally suffer (aka give up Starbucks or other loves) to do it.

REALLY yummy!:thumbsup2 I was all ready to go up to the counter and just order the house coffee (which I do like, but I get allllll the time....) and then I saw the special holiday board was up... so I determined to step out of my comfort zone of ordering and get something different!:rotfl:

Happy Monday, ladies!

Or should I say...

babnanas???? :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Who missed me?

Come on, who????

:::crickets chirping::::

Hmph.

;)

LegoMom, sorry to hear you're having trouble with the horse. Mabye it just needs more time to adjust? And holy cow, you have a teenager!!! I can't believe your son is 13. Happy birthday to him! :goodvibes

See, I love hearing about your art classes. It brings back memories, you write about charcoal drapery any time you want!

How's everyone doing? Things are good here, just having a hard time getting on the DIS. :sad2:

* yawn * ....did you say sum'pin'...?? :rolleyes1

Ok girlfriends, I need some more input!

Y'all know I have the Thanksgiving trip at Fort Wilderness already booked for next year. It's "room" only, no package of any kind. It was going to be a more relaxed type of trip, and out of the whole week, we may only do parks for like 3 days or so.

But.......:rolleyes1

Now I'm thinking of doing Free Dining again in September instead.

[collective-bang-your-head-against-brickwall]

I know! I know! However, here is my reasoning:

1) September may offer DH a better shot at getting a full week off from work

2) Without getting into the "free dining isn't really free" discussion, I find I like having my meal budget taken care of ahead of time

3) With all the van issues of late, we may not have the means to do the camping trip...if push comes to shove, we could take the new car that my in-laws are bringing down this month (a very-well-cared-for, like-new '92 Chevy Cavalier from my MIL's cousin). It's possible it could pull a small utility trailer full of our stuff, but that might be pushing it and DH won't do that. Otherwise it could hold the 5 of us and some duffle bags.

Honestly the cost between the two options is coming out very close. Maybe a $400 difference and when it comes to Disney trips, that's not much, really. On the flip side of it, we had been looking forward to staying at Fort Wilderness now that we feel we live a reasonable driving distance to go with the camper. And being there for Thanksgiving would be uber-cool.

Oh decisions, decisions.....

Ooh! Ooh! ME! ME! I always miss you when you're not around here much, and always glad to see you come back.

Especially today.;)

YAY!!!! :yay:

The horse is settling in and doing much better, I'm happy to report. My plan is to ride him this week.

Thanks for the b-day wishes! I can't believe I have a teenager, either. I don't feel old enough to have a teenager!!:sad2:

.

Well, the truth of the matter is, you're not old enough to have a teenager.

My mother will consistently tell people she was a child bride. ;)

Cool! I am addicted to those shows! I love how they make everything, it really appeals to my artistic nature.

Welcome back TK! You were missed.

Thank you! Happy to be here and see everyone posting as usual. :goodvibes

I am the worst person to talk to about this.

I love going during free dining. I love having the meal budget taken care of beforehand, just like you said, and I love going during that time of year. I love fall at Disney and MNSSHP and all that it is. And it pains me a bit that we won't be going to do that next year, what with my DS starting kindergarten.

Now, of course, my Disney brain is trying to figure out how I can squeeze in a weekend and just go to MNSSHP without him missing too much school. :lmao:

But, as always, it's whatever is most monetarily comfortable for your family. That is, inevitably, what all my decisions end up being based on. :thumbsup2

Legomom--I don't know what to tell you--I would do the free dining, but just because I'm not a camping kind of gal.

That's all.

I'm just not the best person to give advice here.

Y'know, every time I get up to pee at 2:00am, I think about having to walk to a comfort station....:headache:

.

DD got her H1N1 shot today. I had run out after work to get Tylenol and applesauce. She does not take medicine at all for me. Liquid and pills all get violently thrown-up. I crushed the Tylenol up really well and put in the applesauce. She ate about 1/2 of it, gagging several times. I hope she doesn't get sick off of the shot. The Tylenol was "just in case" type thing. Mind you she's 13 and should be able to swallow SOMETHING down, whether it's liquid or pill. She can take a St. Joseph aspirin, but, with the possiblity of Reye's syndrome, I don't want to give her aspirin right now.

Good point. My first suggestion is "Do Both!" But back to reality. I'd say do the one that gets you more bang for your buck. So if DH is more likely to have time in September, do it then. While the drive is better than from NH, it's still a long drive to just come for a short visit. Plus, free dining does sound a lot better than camping food for a week.

Have you tried those quick dissolve jr. Tylenols? I think it's mostly for 6 - 12, but your DD sounds close enough. Plus, it'd be better than gagging.

Hey everyone, just checking in. We have these things called industry on campus where art companies come and talk to us. I'm off to see Nickelodeon.

I could also use some thought/prayers as I have a pretty severe staph infection in my arm. I got one about two months ago and have been battling it on and off. I have to be on antibiotics for the month and i'm starting to get really scared.

Good luck with your infection and Nickelodeon. Is this from a tattoo? I had a friend who got a horrible infection because he was allergic to the neosporin he put on to heal it.
