...and, speaking of 'a small fortune', my DS spent a lot to make HIS costume - but, he looked so RAD!! (...he was the Geico caveman! )

SadieDog - Frozen! We still have our a/c on. I'll share some of my heat with you if you share some of your cold with me. Perfection would be somewhere in between (which I've been told is the constant weather in San Fran.)

Mean Queen, are you guys still that hot??! Wow! We haven't run our A/C in probably a good 3 weeks now, at least. It's been in the 70s and dry and sunny. My dad actually ran the heater one night while he was here! (overnight's been 40-50).

So DH and DS12 made a raft for the pond...it floats and it's really neat!! The kids were out there paddling around having a grand ol' time.

I ran the AC yesterday. . .it's been pretty warm in the Southeast.

We did not today (mid 50s), and as much as I love warm weather--I have this mindset that when it is warm, flowers and trees should be in their full glory. When the leaves are red, orange, and yellow, it's time for cooler weather.

Gee we don't have that luxury!....It's warm, but the bushes and smaller trees are simply starting to go BARE! There's one tree across the pond with ONE branch full of red leaves. The rest just kind of turn yellow-y and then fall off. Having come from New England, though, it's not "foliage."

We finally are having a cool night, low 70's. But it'll still be 80's during the day most of the week. Though by the weekend it'll be 70's. Who knows for how long.

Went out to feed the horse this morning and saw a bunch of Robins out across the pond!! It's so weird to have all these birds that I recognize from summer in NH! I hope they stick around for a while. The Phoebes are still here, which will thrill MIL when they come next month!

Well, then, I'm not the only one having a week. Today has been, well weird. I think it's the time change mostly. I'm starving by 10:30 am. I'm getting up at 4:30 thinking it's time to get up.

Me TOO!! Ugh! I'm getting up at 6:00am!...can't fall back to sleep! And I know it's the time change because I was getting up at 7:00am before, all on my own...didn't need an alarm, I was just "programmed" to get up at that time. Only now it's too early!!

By the way has anyone else noticed that the DIS has their time all messed up? Looks to me like they set them forward.... D'oh!
