Good morning. I made it! When we were 1/2 way to the mountain, it 'warmed up' to 41. It might have been 45 when we started hiking, but it didn't take long to warm up. I sure an sore this morning. Stairs are my enemy. When we reached the top, it was a little foggy. Then all of a sudden, the snow hail and awful wind came up. Man was it FREEZING. We still needed to get to the pond that is on top and while making our way to it, the hail was beaming us in the face. Boy did that sting! Once we got to the pond, the storm stopped. It sounds funny to say there is a pond on top of a mountain. I'm glad I went; it's beautiful up there.

creativeamanda, 4 years ago on our 1st family trip, we stayed at POFQ. I picked it due to it's compact size. Everything is an easy walk. The walk to POR is pleasand and relaxing. The grounds are beautiful. We got a room NOT facing the pool so it was nice and quiet. I am a very light sleeper. The hot tub is situated so it has a little privacy. You must get the beignets. I do not like clowns either. Our 1st trip to the food court, I looked at my husband and said "that is disgusting, why would you put that in here." If I was going solo, I would not pay extra for a king bed, but I am frugal that way. Actually, I would like the 2nd bed to put things on.

Oh and that guy was an idiot to be driving like that. What is wrong with some people?

Actually I don't hate Mondays.....it's DH's day off and is more or less a pretty laid-back day for us!


We're supposed to be heading up to Waco today - lunch at Cracker Barrel and then the Dr. Pepper Museum!

Yesterday was the 2nd day of the open house at the alpaca farm. I tripped & fell. When I landed I wrenched my back out. I'm still in a lot of pain. Today I went to the dr.(previously scheduled, totally unrelated) and he gave me some meds. Of course they're not helping. I mad an appt. with a chiropracter tomorrow. Sometimes I think that dr.'s give out drugs just to shut people up. Some drugs just mask the problem.

PAMom--Sorry you hurt your back. I agree that too many doctors are drug pushers in disquise.

Hey!

Just checking in. We went up to Waco today. Had lunch at Cracker Barrel - YUM! - and then went to the Dr. Pepper Museum. It was really neat! The history of it was fascinating to me. I don't drink the stuff but my kids love it.

Got home and did some more work on the horse shed. It's coming along. The pouring rain of the last couple of days didn't help. It's also a little creepy to step outside and be able to hear the mosquitos in the woods... At least it's warming up!!

Actually, Mondays are nice for me too. I'm off Sun - Tues, so that's my weekend. Technically, Wednesdays are my Monday. And by Saturday, I'm exhausted.
