Well, when I met the ex to drop DD off for the weekend, he sends her to put her stuff in the car and motions for me to follow him. We went around my car and he tells me that he got laid off from his job and wants to know if I could put DD on CHiP healthcare. CHip is a free/low cost healthcare for kids. Now I do kinda feel bad for him, it's no fun bein laid off. But, he and wifey #2 both make $40,000.00/year a piece, so I don't feel toooooo bad. I make less than $15,000.00 a year. Ah, the drama.

...sheesh, hope it doesn't hit WDW too badly - my DS is spending the day at MGM.....[...yeah, I know, I know...]

They closed down the Orlando airport for a bit because of weather today. DH flew in from a business trip to meet us at AKV and he got in almost 2 hours late. But I think the weather was only bad for about an hour. I drove in at the tail end of the storm.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! We're in the "old" 3-bedroom in the Jambo house. It's all on 1 floor because it was created out of the regular hotel rooms. The master bath made my jaw drop. It's as big as the bedroom and has a jacuzzi tub with a flat screen TV. My friend took pictures because I forgot my camera. We watched wildebeest, zebras, and giraffes from the balcony. And some "African" seagulls and ducks too. There's also a room with a pool table, though I'm not sure that's a good idea with all the kids. There have already been injuries. Tomorrow we plan to hit the pool. Hopefully, the rain will hold off. Though the animals seemed to like it.

Says the lady still recovering from a Vegas vacation.

We're already back from AKV. It was a lot of fun. I'm sad we couldn't get the room for tonight, but it's also nice to have a day at home before going back to work. I'll have to get the pictures from my friend to post.

I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial day weekend. I'm sure LegoMom is enjoying her Mom's Day Out at Disney. The weather was clear when we left, so it should be perfect weather for a day at the park.

[Hi SadieDog! What's new?

Well, I have a sinus infection. I caught it early so it's not nearly as bad as usual. I'm feeling much better at the moment, but I'm about to take another pill and that will make me feel pukey for a bit. I can thank my husband for this one. He decided to use a power sander in the house to sand joint compound. He did not cover anything and left a huge powder mess for me to clean up. I am not supposed to be around the stuff. He did it about 3 weeks ago and that's when the trouble started. We have had this argument before, but he decided to be pig headed and stubborn and insisted on using the thing. I got a sinus infection the last time he used it in the house too. SO WHY DO THIS TO ME AGAIN? Yes, I wanted to kill him. Powder goes everywhere and it takes hours to try to wipe everything in 2 rooms down. I still did not get it all. The Doctor even sounded annoyed when I mentioned how the trouble started.

On a different note, my daughter is at her Senior Prom right now. I hope she is having a good time. She has had so much trouble with nasty girls. Only 3 weeks until graduation!

Good morning. The sun is out here.

Morning is miserable, but I know it will get better. My head is so full, it makes me dizzy. Head, nose and teeth throbbing, but it's not as bad as yesterday morning so there is improvement.

I was surprised my daughter came home last night. She was going to call me and let me know what they were doing after Prom, but she ended up home. Her boyfriend does not drink and not into hanging out at parties where that's pretty much all everyone is doing. There was a sober party going on but they opted to come here instead. I hope she had a good time. Still sleeping of course.

Thanks. I am getting better, but at 12:30 I started dry heaving. The sick feeling from the antibiotic kicked in. Now I'm feeling better again. It comes and goes. My head is not pounding now and that's always nice.

I'll be the 1st to admit, my daughter has not always been 'a good one.' She has not always avoided drinking parties. More and more lately she comes home early from a party and says friends were all drunk and stupid and she didn't feel like drinking or hanging out with them. That's all some of them want to do, find a place to drink/smoke on the weekends.

After the hour+ of torrential rain in the late afternoon, the sun came back out for a while before it started to set. It made some neat pictures as it got lower in the sky....
