70 degrees? 88 degrees? 91 degrees? Psh. We had 95 here today. It was actually heavenly!

ETA: we're about 45 min from the fires in North Myrtle Beach. It's also been quite smoky.

Good morning everyone! I hope you all have a fantastic time on your respective trips!

Another beautiful day here in SE MA. BF and I will be heading out to enjoy it shortly with breakfast and a few hours by the ocean in Newport. TTFN! :thumbsup2

That sounds wonderful! Have a great time! DH's best friend lives in RI and used to work maintenance at one of the mansions in Newport. We got a private tour at Christmastime once....SO beautiful!

Good morning ya'll

Mornin' Smileybug! :goodvibes

ICK High temps and smokey. I would not do well at all.

Oh, I bet it was beautiful. That's something I would enjoy.

Looks like another warm day here. I can hang more laundry outside today. One of the best parts about this beautiful weather right now is that the black flies are not out yet. Once they hatch, you can't enjoy it outside like you can now.

SadieDog, are you going to watch the race today? Its a long one. We will watch some through the day and then catch the last hour or so.

I will watch a good part of it, but like you I will not be watching from start to finish.

The clouds have moved in and it's not as warm as it was supposed to be. It's a little cool with a t-shirt right now. Bummer.

...that sounds PERFECT! :confused3

There was a cool breeze that came up and that is really what annoyed me. That seems to have gone and it's just right for short sleeves now. After I see the start of the race, I am off to walk in the woods with my dogs. It's one of my favorite places to be.

The dark side to living in a sub-tropical zone....

Huge. Spiders.

:scared::scared::scared:

Last night we opened up windows to let in the delicious breeze that was outside. In our bathroom, there is a little crank-out window with a curtain. The curtain was in the house when we moved in, and had been tucked up around the rod. I tugged at the edges to bring it down, since it was nighttime, the window was open, and I didn't want a free peep show into our shower!!

Fast forward to this morning. I go into the bathroom and something in the corner behind the toilet (under the window) catches my eye. A something that I know wasn't there yesterday. At first glance, I think "clump of pine needles" or some other plant-based item. It's the right color, and it looks like a clump of pine needles.

Except the "needles" are in pairs, and there are four pairs. Simple math tells you that equals eight.....

LEGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared1:

I bent over far enough to determine that it was indeed a massive spider carcass, then, with my skin now inside out, remove myself from the bathroom and yell for hubby....

"HOOOOOOOONN!!!!!!!!!!!"

"What?"

"I need you to remove an old carcass from the bathroom!"

He new immediately what I had seen. He was going to put the thing in the trash (!!!!) until I yelled "NO!!!....flush it!"

"I'm not sure it'll flush..." came the reply.

"You toss it in, then put a piece of toilet paper on top to hold it down and FLUSH IT!"

It was flushed. I still have the heebie-jeebies when I go in my bathroom. That is the second spider carcass I've had to deal with since moving here. Although the first one was a molt, meaning there is an even larger one still creeping around under the house somewhere....

Someday, my number's gonna come up and the confrontation will be with a live one....Meanwhile I'll be buying stock in indoor/outdoor house perimeter spray!:rotfl:

I hate spiders. Hate them. Hate them. Hate them. We have regular pest control to make sure we never have a run in like the one you had. Cockroaches, no big deal. Lizards, kinda cute. Love bugs, only slightly annoying. Spiders... no way.

We did Epcot today. The Flower and Garden festival is still going on. LegoMom, you should go next week! I'll post pics once they are uploaded. And if I last much longer. So tired.

Ok. Since my little one had a diaper leak on my feather down comforter, I'm waiting for it to finish drying before I head to bed. So I'll post some pics from this weekend.

First, here are some pictures of the beautiful topiaries around Epcot for the Flower and Garden Festival.

Minnie's Butterfly Garden is my little one's favorite. She sat there for about a half hour with her finger out waiting for a butterfly to land on it. It never did, but she had fun.

We had lunch at the Coral Reef. It was very yummy. But the dessert was the best. "The Chocolate Wave"

Here are some pictures of the Nick Hotel. It was nice, but I realized I'm a Disney snob. The people weren't as nice as Disney people, not the workers, but the visitors! It was very crowded and not very organized. But the pool is very cool.

It was a really nice quick weekend getaway.

Mean Queen those are GREAT pictures!!! Wow!

I love DD9's haircut, by the way! The bangs are cute. LOVE the Fairy garden behind her in that one picture. I've been to F & G once, years ago, and just loved it. It's amazing what they can do with flowers and plants!

Also, your little DD is just about the cutest thing EVER!

I'll be back to comment more later....need to get the boys off to school before they're late!!!

.

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes

LegoMom...Spider carcasses?:scared::eek:

Mean Queen...I love the pictures. One of these days I'm going to make it to that festival. Your little ones keep getting prettier. :goodvibes
