Hey SadieDog. :goodvibes How are ya'll doing? Its hard to believe that your DD is going to college. I hope she settles in quickly and everything goes well. :thumbsup2 What is she going to do with her rat? Or is it now your rat? :rotfl:

Doing ok, getting by one day at a time. It's an exciting yet stressful time and brings mixed feelings. She does not have everything she needs yet and I just remembered I have a son that needs school supplies too. :rotfl: He is starting high school and we have not got him anything yet. I was so focused on what my daughter needs for college, I forgot about the poor kid. :rotfl2:

It looks like I will now have a rat to care for. UGH I can see my daughter calling me and asking me to come down for a visit and bring a dog or her rat. :rotfl: I thought I had enough to take care of with 2 cats (one on meds twice a day) and 2 giant beasts, but I guess I was wrong. I will admit Lucy is a very friendly, smart and social rat, but that doesn't mean I wanted one. :lmao: I can tell you that whenever my daughter comes home for a visit, she can clean the cage. I will take Lucy out everyday b/c I can't have any animal live it's life in a cage.

Hi, everyone! Wow, back to school time. It amazes me every year. I'm sure it'll hit me hard next year, because DS will be going to kindergarten, but for now, I can bask in the comfort and safety of preschool. :lmao:

I hope the LegoClan did arrive in Texas safely and are doing okay. :goodvibes

Hey. :goodvibes Have you been keeping yourself out of trouble? :rotfl:I hope you and your DD enjoy your last week of vacation. :) The really scary thing about all of this is.......Christmas is just around the corner.

Well, today I worked at another Hallmark to get training on the new registers that will be in our store starting on Wednesday. Next Monday school starts for me, Wednesday for the kids. Then I'll get to work 2-3 nights/per week and every other weekend at Hallmark. I don't want to complain because that's what I plan to use to pay off of my debts.

Sounds like a good plan. Plus, I bet you'll get a nice employee discount just in time for holiday shopping.

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes

PaMom.....30% off at Hallmark sounds like a good deal to me. :thumbsup2

kimmar.....you still :rolleyes1 ? :rotfl:

Hi everyone!

Happy Wednesday.

I'm afraid I may have woken up today with a little cold allergy something or other. It's just starting, so it's hard to say, but I'm not feeling so hot.

And I'm going to work. Ah well. Them's the breaks, eh?

LegoMom, did you feel the force or what? :yoda: We all start talking about her and she posts! :goodvibes

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes

Tk....Never underestimate the:banana: force!! :rotfl2: Especially when its women standing behind it. :thumbsup2 And most especially when those women are us. :lmao:Hope you feel better as the day moves on.

Hey SadieDog. :goodvibes

LegoMom.....:banana::banana: Our wayward babnana has returned.:banana::banana: I am so glad you are up and running again. :woohoo: You have been missed. :grouphug: Are the sun sets over your pond still beautiful?

Aw shucks....:flower3: Y'all were talking about me??! I'll take your word for it. I find it very daunting to go back and try to catch up with pages and pages of a thread when I've been away (unless it's a trip report, of course!). But it's nice to know I was missed (PaMom - nice welcome on TK's TR!!....thanks!!)

Every day.....:lovestruc Of course that pond level is WAY down with our lack of rain....:sad2: October is supposed to be a rainier month and it needs to be!

I missed you all!!!!!!!!!! Good to be back. I feel so disconnected when I'm away from my on-line friends for too long. Of course those are my only friends at the moment....

Hey!! :goodvibes

LegoMom....Have you been having fun getting settled? I guess your days have been pretty full. How are the boys doing? Details woman, details.

Boy are my days busy! But it's fun-busy. We're getting lots unpacked but that's going to be a process. I've done the essentials like set up the kitchen and bathrooms. All the boys wanted their rooms painted so we did that right away. DS12 has a room that's half black and half white....it looks pretty cool! DS7 and DS9 are sharing a room but each wanted a different color so the room is half dark green and half BRIGHT red! It's different!

DH got right to work last Wednesday, in time to get the scoop on the weekend groups coming in. Summer camp is over so from here on out it's local overnight groups or weekend retreats. He's having a blast and it's SO nice to finally see him doing something that he loves. I've already learned that when groups are here, there is always leftover food to bring back here!! Last week we had beef fajita meat that was TO. DIE. FOR.

The boys are doing well and adjusting fairly well. DS12 is having the hardest time - partly due just to his age (almost a teen....HELP!!!!!!!!:lmao:) and partly because he really liked being in the city in Florida. But he's getting to do some cool guy stuff here and there's a non-running ATV with his name on it, waiting to be rebuilt. DS7 LOVES it here....he's dad's little helper and goes over to the camp every chance he gets. He's also anxiously awaiting the day when he can get a pony! He still likes to go out and fish off the dock, too. But again, we really, really need rain.

The boys have heard coyotes in the evenings. This morning a small band of hogs found their way into camp! The whole property is fenced to keep the Fallow deer in, but there must be a hole somewhere. So far no one knows where they belong or came from, but if there's no claim on them by the end of the week, we'll be putting some nice pork and bacon in the freezer!

Oh, and remember how we acquired that kitten in Florida?.....now we seem to be acquiring a puppy..... I'm such a poor-waif magnet. Supposedly it lives up the road but it's always here and it's TOO THIN. You shouldn't be able to see a puppy's ribs! I'm not a big dog person but this little guy is cute and you've got to feel for him. DH bought a bag of puppy chow and we're giving him some kibble once or twice a day. When people are at camp he's down there all the time and eats quite well!:rotfl2:

So there's the update for now! What's new with you Smileybug?....we've been watching Hurricane Bill's progress on the Weather Channel (yay we have TV again!!!) and really hoping it does stay off the coast. I'm thinking of you and creativeamanda!

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes

Hey LegoMom. :goodvibes I loved reading the update. It all sounded so.....so....RIGHT!! Your DS 12 will find his way too. Probably by time that ATV is running. :rolleyes1 Boys and wheels. Now that's a match made in heaven. :thumbsup2 Sounds like your hubby could use that ATV or maybe the pony to ride those fence lines. As far as the free pork and bacon go.....Well, ya'll are just in hog heaven. :rotfl:Its soooo good to hear you sounding sooooo happy. And thanks for keeping us on the east coast in your thoughts. :goodvibes But as I'm sure you know. Bill won't be a problem for us here. :thumbsup2

I hope you all have a great day. I also hope that we all find our way back in here soon. Its been a while. :grouphug:

Good morning.

LegoMom, I loved reading the update. Poor little skinny puppy. Wonderful you are helping him. It's great your husband found work that he enjoys.

I have a terrible cold that I am hoping does not turn into a sinus infection. I have not had any chance to rest which makes it worse. Tuesday I was at daycare all day and yesterday was my daughter's college orientation so we didn't get home until 6:30. Today I work 9-noon and again 2-5pm. It is going to be a crazy busy day at daycare b/c she rented a bounce house. Lots of visitors will be coming in and out all day. Yikes, I better go take a shower and get ready.

PaMom...That shouldn't be a groan. That should be a giggle.

LegoMom....since you are adding to your own personel petting zoo, I have a bit of advice. If a black kitteh with a white strip down its back shows up......send your hubby out to pet it first. :rotfl:
