I missed National Boards by 5 points. 5 stinking points. I applied for the grant to retake one section and I'll have until March to finish. I came up 46 points from last year. But 5 points.

I've been real busy until about now we are slow here in the winter - i just got back form atlanta a week or so a go and it was great! I so enjoyed it ...

Cheermom--usually I go out on Black Friday, but this year, I am not. I just don't have the patience this year.

Legomom--To gain National Board Certification, you should score a combined score of 275 points on a portfolio assessment and written assement. Last year, the score I had was 224. I banked points and retook 2 parts of the portfolio and increased my score by 46 points, for a current overall score of 270. 5 Points from certification. So, I will retake one more section (now I'm becoming limited because each section I am retaking I have passing scores on and you can't retake any section you previously passed) to try to get those 5 points. This is my last year in the cycle. After this year, if I do not get certified, I have to repeat the entire process (not bloody likely).

A friend of mine back in MA has neither and I find it very difficult to stay in touch with her. She's anti-tech of any kind and in love with her land-line phone. I hate talking on the phone (never mind that with my schedule it's very hard to find the time - she has no kids and doesn't understand how I can find time to e-mail but not call....).

No computer! The horror! That's too bad your friend does not have a computer. Email is such an easy way to keep in touch and you can do it at your convenience. That's how I keep in touch with my dear friend in Memphis. We email everyday. Well actually several times a day.

We do pay for 1 cell phone, but my daughter has it. My husband has one thru work. You can't text on his though.

OH for the LOVE of all things DISNEY, is NOTHING sacred anymore??!......I just read a thread saying the TTA has a NEW soundtrack. And it's HORRID!!!!!!!! This thread was started yesterday and is already something like 7 pages long.....people HATE the new one.

First Spaceship Earth (sorry, I'm still reeling from that one!) and now this..... You just don't mess with the classics!!!!

It's the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, or the WEDWay People Mover to us old-timers! It goes all around Tomorrowland and through part of Space Mt. It was shut down for a while during the Space Mt. refurb and apparently they decided to mess with it while they were at it...

Oh yeah! Saw it last night. I was a little disappointed. I wanted more about the wolves (and Jacob.) To fit everything into the movie, they only skimmed the stories rather than get in deep.

I don't think i've ridden the TTA but I was so sad when they changed Spaceship Earth! I miss Jeremy Irons

I felt like they did a pretty good job with the time they had. They could have cut out like a half an hour of angst and kissing and gone more in depth with the werewolves like you said. But for me it was eons better than Twilight so I was happy with it. It stayed pretty close to the book; I could even recite lines with it (totally nerdy). But then again maybe I was just blinded by Jacob
