The solo trip is coming along swimmingly.

DH just announced today he wants to take a Halloween trip next year. So apparently, I have another trip to plan soon.

Why thank you I saw the hook and was like mom, I have this! Haha.

They are doing more and more things for Halloween each year. They did Space Mountain up and now have fireworks like the ones from MNSSHP. It's our family tradition; you have to go!

Oh, that sounds like so much fun. I keep telling my mom that I want to see that one year. I'm going to have to start doing some research!

Thanks, Kat and Anna! It's not a bad thing--he's just feeding my obsession. He asked me recently if he thought it would be bad if he knew a man whose wife was apparently haveing an affair with a 5-ft tall mouse.

We priced the trip today, but we are waiting until I am there in December to see if I get offered 40% off on the room while I am there to go ahead and book.

This is what it looks like--it's during the school year, and I can accumulate 4 personal days, he's got 5. We'll take off the 3rd week, as there is typically a teacher inservice that time and it'll mean less time away from students. So we'll take a 6-day weekend, do 5 day base tickets, the MNSSHP, and 1 day at Universal IOA, since sweetie and boo are both reading Harry Potter.

Oh, and Anna! PM me your address so I can send you a Christmas card--I lost it, but since you've moved, I don't know if that address will do me much good, anyway.

See under my username where I have the comments in colors and one scrolls? Those are tags and someone on this board (or more than one person) sneaks into our profiles and does it. I don't know how they do it, but when you do get a tag (or when I got mine), it's pure excitement.

I think it's THe Wizarding World of Harry Potter--I just want to get candy from Honeydukes and grab a drink in the Leaky Lounge. Both of which will be there. Then ride the flight of the Hippogriff (a coaster)

I so want the 40% off, but if I don't get it, we're already budgeting the rack rate. After our first experience with a AAA travel agent, never again. I'd rather pay a little more and enjoy the planning myself. . .without being all over someone else or not trusting whether or not a cash payment has been applied. Long story. Not enough time.

Oh, and where Dan is concerned, there will be no booking big. We stay at POR because it's the least expensive for a family of five. Don't know what we'll do if the boy gets too big for the trundle. I'll probably have to fit my 5'2" self on it.

I don't know what the official title is, but I'm really excited for that too.

Yeah, I actually googled it--it is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Is it strange that we want to go to IOA ONLY for that section of the park? It's going to be a madhouse near Halloween! We'll have to go on the Monday we are there--hopefully less crowds.
