Yeah, that's exactly what I need to do. The trip is still over a year away
sad
so theoretically I should have time to do this! The campsite in value season is around $43/night, plus I should get a AAA discount of 15 or 20%. I could have that paid off in 5 weeks (one night each week plus the deposit). It's those tix that will be the bulk of the expense! We're talking around $1,300!! But viewing it in terms of buying one ticket at a time, somehow seems "easier." Kind of like the old "how do you eat an elephant?...one bite at a time!" saying.
It does feel like so much money. I would just think of how much you're saving by camping, and try to look at it like that. You're going to have such a great time, I can't wait for the next LegoClan trip.
Are you guys all ready for your trip??! The waiting at the end is the hardest part....
.
For the most part. There are very few loose ends to tie up. Ever since I bought my new car (you knew that, right?), I've completely gotten rid of extraneous spending. We don't buy anything unless we need it. Food, gas, groceries. That's it. That being said, I will need a booster seat for DS to have in the towncar, and I still need to get his Wall E costume. While I was sick, I missed out on bidding on one on Ebay that went so inexpensively, I could kick myself. Ah, well. Other than that, we'll have the little things like glow necklaces, camera batteries, and I'll probably make a few more tie dye Mickey head shirts.
Have I told you how much my DS loves those? "Mama, I can wear my colored shirt?"
I was going to suggest the same thing that TK did. . .I'm so glad she did it.
Throwing down $1300 at one time can in no way be fun. I think it would drive me crazy. I have a whole payment plan made up in my mind for the December trip, but with it coming up so close, the $500 a month I plan on sending to Disney is going to drive me bonkers!
It's good to have a payment plan set up. I agree, it really helps soften the blow.
Also I'm happy TK is starting to feel better.
Thanks! I'm still tired, but I'm definitely on the mend.
Last night I learned a valuable lesson. DD10 is allergic to latex, which also can manifest itself in allergies to banana, kiwi, pineapple. Lots of food contain that same protein. Now, I've noticed recently when I put a bandaid on, a rash sometimes forms around it. And I can't use the gloves at school for changing diapers. I had to order powder free, latex free. I thought it was the powder that was the problem. Last night I ate something I have not had in a long time--fresh pineapple. I broke out in the worst rash I have seen in a long time. Apprently, I have the same allergies dd10 has, just was too thick to realize I was developing that allergy. My tongue is still so raw, I can't eat much today--my tongue even has a rash. Long weekend. . .and I guess a Lapu Lapu is out of the question. . .
I had absolutely no idea that latex allergy could be related to fruit allergies. You learn something new every day.
I am bummed for you that you can't have a Lapu Lapu, and I hope your tongue/mouth feels better soon!
Hi-ho, Hi-ho, off to work I go....man, I forgot how getting up early sucks.
Ah, hon, I hope you have a good day.
Good morning ya'll.
I hope its a good one for all of you.
Morning, Smiley!
Love the big ole hug, thanks.
