Tag, Your It!

Hi Everyone!

We just recently got back from our 09/19 4-day cruise on the Wonder. It truly was a dream come true for our family! Since many of the ideas and helpful hints on this Board really made a positive diference in my cruising experience I thought I would share an idea that I came up with.

After reading about the magnetic door signs I came up with an idea for a fun game that would be a good way to interact with many of the DIS'ers that I met on our cruisemeets thread. I went to Home Depot and got the Alien Green mickey head, scanned it and put the phrase "Tag Your It, Pass This On To Your Fellow DIS'ers" on it and printed it on magentic paper (I than cut the paper in the shape of the Mickey Head). Many of the DIS'ers on our cruisemeets board had given each other there room #'s so our game of tag was passed on to various DIS'ers Cabins. One of the DIS'ers thought it would be great to put our screennames on the "Tag" so we would know who all had been tagged. You could imagine my enjoyment to be the last person tagged so I now have the magnet in my scrap book.

It really was a fun thing to do, so thought I would just pass it on for all you future cruisers!

That sounds like lot of fun! I know those Home Depot Mickey Heads are pretty small. Silly question, but how big was the Mickey head you all signed? You must have made that one larger, right?

I was one of the lucky DISers that got tagged on the Sept 19th Wonder. Came back to my stateroom after a long day & found the magnet on my door. Although I was ready to get into my pjs at that point, I quickly found some energy & went out roaming the halls trying to figure out who I should tag next! It was fun & I was actually hoping to get tagged a second time! Guess that might have worked on a 7 day. Here are some pictures I took of the magnet as I found it on our cabin door.

I think I was about the 4th one tagged, but I would've liked to have seen it once it had been around. Thanks for thinking of it, Faith!

DH and I were tagged! What a great idea! It was fun trying to search out other board members and tag them. Whenever we walked in the halls we would look for who ever got tagged after us. Also very cool that you got it back! I fully intend on doing that for the 9-16-06 cruise!!

WHERE DID YOU GET THE SIGN THAT HAS THE WONDER ON IT WITH YOUR NAMES AND DATES??? I AM GOING ON THE MAGIC IN JANUARY AND WOULD LOVE TO EITHER PURCHASE OR MAKE A SIGN LIKE YOURS....I LOVED IT!

I made both door signs for our cruise with the disney font & various clipart pictures that I downloaded from around the net (with links I found here on the DISboard). I created the signs in an American Greetings Print program that I have on my computer. I had lots of fun making them & DD (3) loved 'em too!

You may want to try clicking the link again. I tried it when you first posted & got an error message (must've been a problem with the website), but tried again just a few minutes ago & it worked. If not, click on the album (Sept 19th Wonder pictures) in my signature & scroll to the picture of the signs. Hope this helps.

We got tagged too on the 9/19 cruise. It was neat to see the user names and to look for some one else to tag. The game has also given us another great topic to chat about on our thread! Great idea Faith, thanks for being so creative! Future DIS cruisers every where pass on this great idea!
