Tag Fairies?

What are they? I've been reading alot about these "tag fairies" and i have no idea what they are. Can someone help me out?

Tag fairies dift around the boards, spying in on what we say. If one of us happens to say something that strikes them as funny they copy it and turn it into the little colored labels that are under a lot of peoples names. Now, everyone waits and hopes for the glorious day when they wake up in the mornings, go to their computer, flip on the DIS and they are most graciously bestowed with a colored little blip under their name of something funny they said! Oh, and never never never ASK the tag fairy for a tag by claping ("I believe in tag fairies! 'clapclapclapclap'"), it annoys them. In my opinion it is not wise to aggrivate the fairies.
Ok, guys, did I get that right?

Not only is it not wise, it is a preatty much garentee that you will not get a tag.
