Tablo Device for OTA TV

Yeah, I hate deciding what to watch sometimes. Does anyone know if Hulu has the "live streams" like Disney+ has for The Simpsons. Like Bob's Burgers would be an ideal one.

Not that I'm aware of unless you're paying for Hulu + Live TV. At least it's not something I've ever noticed on Hulu streaming but I could be wrong.

PlutoTV is free and is a good candidate for continuous streaming content channels.

I have Hulu Live, and I can search for "Bob's Burgers", and it gives me all the episodes from Season 1 to Season 16. I assume when you play one it cycles to the next.

Right - I meant more like the livestreams like they do on Disney+. I just don't necessarily want to pick an episode, and sometimes they do themes too. Like right now, there are a bunch of Halloween ones:

I just checked the Hulu website and don't see anything like that. They have "Hubs," but those are just collections (e.g. Huluween, Pride, Hispanic, etc.). No sign of anything you can just tune to and it will keep going.

I guess I don't understand what you mean by "livestreams like they do on D+". Personally, I don't see picking an episode at random and letting it play, then (presumably) automatically playing the next, the next, etc is any different than starting a live stream.

The livestreams, as shown, just play, and not necessarily in episode order. Like, the Simpsons Treehouse one just plays the Halloween episodes, but at other times of year, they will be playing random episodes, or like specifically musical ones, or summer vacation, etc. It gives you a random sampling instead of just one season - sometimes that's nice. They also have streams that show different shows or even movies.

So, an update on my experiences so far. I cancelled DirecTV Stream as of the end of October, and now have Hulu. The Tablo device has been working well at recording shows - sometimes it freezes up during playback or video freezes and audio continues. It's not too difficult to just requind half-a-tic to fixt that, but it has happened more than it probably should. I stand by the statement that the Tablo FAST channels are generally bad, but I have diecovered The Roku Channel and am liking that! It just has a better line-up, though there is some overlap. Anyway, I am using the Tablo basically for OTA and that one retro cartoon feed.

Having Hulu is nice, but kind of stressful. Right now I feel like I have so much to watch! I know, first-world problem, but I feel pressured now. Between shows I've always wanted to watch and movies I haven't seen in a while, I feel like I am way behind. It's silly, I know. Also, why does Hulu have shows listed with the most recent season at the top while Disney+ always had the oldest first with newer at the bottom? WHY? It's annoying is what it is.

Anyway, I do think this solution is going to work for me, and saving the money isn't hurting either.

I do hear that's good. There are a few FX shows on the docket.
