OK, I would like a little information from repeat cruise veterans. I've booked the same cabin on the Fantasy for this coming fall as last fall Fantasy cruise. Will I have the same table for the three main dining rooms?

No, probably not.

The table set up is done about 3-5 days prior to any given cruise. Depends on how DCL divides out the people on any given seating. Each serving team serves a 4 top, a 6 top and an 8 top table. So, even if you fill an entire table (say an 8 top), you could be assigned to any 8 top in the dining room.

So, for example, table #23 may be in one place one cruise, and in a different place on a different cruise. But, most likely, in a similar area.

No. They change it up every cruise depending on the number and distribution of guests. On our last cruise, we went to the MDR for embarkation lunch and checked out where we'd be sitting since we knew our table number by that time. When we went that evening to that same MDR, it was in a different place completely. It was still a 4-top but no where near where it had been that morning. So it appears that they rearrange after embarkation lunch. We've also never been anywhere close to where we'd been on a previous cruise. We've also been seated at tables for 4, 6, 8 and 10.

I'm a different case. I've been in three different staterooms on the Dream and had the same table number in the same location each time. So, it isn't tied to my room but somehow I seem to be tied to the table.

I had a different table number on the Fantasy but was only a couple tables away from where I am now very used to sitting. I'm going to be lost if they ever move me. o_O

Our last two cruises on the Magic (different cabins) we had the same table in Animators, but sat at different tables in the other two restaurants.

I wouldn't be surprised if the table numbers/arrangements change between main and late dining on the same cruise. On our upcoming cruise in July, we will be a party of 16. I suspect that this is not an setup that will be common between the two seatings.

Hi all. Sorry if this is a duplicate post. I looked in the forum, but could not find. Question...is it possible to request a specific head server from a previous cruise? Our February 2016 Fantasy cruise server was beyond amazing to us & we would love to be in his presence for our upcoming June cruise.
Thank you.

Yes. Just call DCL and make the request. They point out it's just a request, as they cannot guarantee that the person will actually be on your cruise, or, even, in that position onboard.
