One good meal at Le Cellier and Chefs de France with a little bit of wine and some dessert for three people and the cost of the card was covered. Of course, we got it in October with our PAP and it only cost $75 then.

And it's actually good for longer than 12 months...we 1st used ours on 12/20/11 and it's still good through our entire 1/25-30/13 trip (expires 1/31/13....I lucked out ). I am guessing they give you until the end of the 13th month.

I just bought a TIW card and it expires exactly one year after the day I purchased it. The first TIW card I bought did give me more like 13 months IIRC, though. Not sure if policy has changed, or if it depends on the CM, but more than 365 days of use is not a given.

That's howthink of it. We just got back from a 6 night stay. We did a sit down dinner every night and saved us about $60.00. Well woirth it, especially if you go to WDW more then once a year.

I just looked in my wallet. Mine was purchased on 12/22/12 and expires 1/31/14.

It can be a little bit of a hassle with having to wait for a manager, but it is worth it in the long run.

I'm a consumate smart alec, and usually make a remark along the lines of, "I know someone has to call Bob Iger to get permission for this discount, so I'll give you my TIW card now." It usually gets a chuckle from the servers, who are probably the ones who are most put out by the need for a manager to manually override the check whenever a TIW is used.

During our Christmas week trip, I had several servers tell me that they're now allowed to apply the discount themselves. I don't know if this is universal for all restaurants, but it looks like maybe Disney loosened the reigns a little.

We are thinking of using this for our DVC split stay(BCV/Vistana/BCV) since we won't be doing DDP. So anyone use and do you like it? Is it worth it if you cannot use for Holidays? Is the 20% worth it since the PAP's are less? We still plan on cooking light in the villas but thought this might be a better way to go since we will also be staying off property! Thank you for any comments or advice!

I love the TIW card! Our routine is usually to eat breakfast in the villa, lunch at a counter service restaurant and a sit down meal where we have made reservations for dinner.

I know in just one meal the 20% paid for the card. (We went to Wolfgang Pucks and had a five hundred dollar meal for four; the wine was good!) So the rest of the time, was all savings.

The biggest 'thing' is to remember to use it. I know that sounds weird but after many days, tired kids, tired parents, my memory kinda goes and if your family starts going off in different directions that can make it difficult if you end up 'catching' lunch with only half the group.

But I would definitely buy it again with no reservations!

Now more than ever in regards to Le Cellier. They just went to an all day menu and the lunch prices are outrageous. The risotto filet went from $27 to $43. You will definitely need your TIW card to help offset those prices.

Maybe the CM who sold me mine made a mistake, but I bought it on 1/3/13 and it expires on 1/3/14. I think my previous card expired at the end of the month, though. Even if mine had a 2/28/14 expiration date I don't think we'd be at WDW during that time to use it, but anyone counting on extra days should check the date when they buy the card. Maybe if I find time I will call and inquire about the expiration date of mine since others have been getting more than a year.

Glad we just ate there earlier this month since lunch is our favorite time to go. I had the risotto filet and it was actually not as good as I remembered. It seemed even saltier than normal. My son, and sometimes DH, get the hamburger. I'm guessing that option is off the lunch menu, so we may not end up eating there too often anymore since it will become a much more expensive meal.

Maybe it's a new policy for 2013. Back when you couldn't buy them in the parks the longer expiration was important to account for the time it took to send out the card. Now that we can buy them on property it wouldn't surprise me if they have changed the policy. Since we often took advantage of that extra month, I will be sorry if that's the case however.

We were at WDW over Christmas and both our Christmas meals accepted TIW for the discount TIW works very well for us now that DD is eating off the adult menu. We always have at least a bottle of wine with dinner (cough cough) so discount off of alcohol is a big help.

This will be our first time buying TiW. Can they be purchased at the hotel? We get in at dinner time, so we are going straight to our first dinner at Sanaa, and we weren't planning on a park day until day 3. Our plan will most certainly have to be modified if we can only purchase at guest services in a park because we like eating at too many of the wonderful resort restaurants! TIA

Guest Services at either a park or Downtown Disney. If you have an annual pass or live in Florida you can order over the phone and have it mailed to you. It will be dated as of the issue date, though.

We got 10% off at Flying Fish and Kouzzina, so that certainly cushioned the sticker shock. It also changes the break even point for getting TiW for us, and we'll have to re-evaluate for our upcoming trips.

Do you have a link to the list of restaurants that do discounts through members? We have always bought the TIW card but are now DVC members so might have to look at his also.

We love the card. We were even in like 3 days last year when we were with my parents. We saved a TON with it.
