Hi! We are going to buy PAP's for upcoming trips(2) and are considering buying the TIW and not doing the DDP. Just wondering if anyone has a list of restaurants that we will be able to use TIW card at? Also wondering if anyone else has done it and if they thought it was a good deal??? TIA!

Once you've spent $375 on eligible food and drink with the 20% discount, you have broken even on the upfront cost of $75. After that $375 it's all pure savings.

This is the current list, which can change at any time.

WOW! Looks like most places take it! I am sure in 10 days (1rst of 2 trips) we will spend enought to pay for it!:rotfl: Is it not good for CS though??

The only CS location in a park is Pizzafari.

Also good at the eateries at the value resorts and at POFQ.

Otherwise all locations are TS or bars.

We love TiW. For my family, the DDP doesn't work. My husband doesn't like to have to "follow the rules" on vacation. He usually likes to order an appetizer and would prefer to pick up a dessert in World Showcase instead of at a restaurant. He also likes to have an adult beverage at dinner while on vacation.

The TiW gives us a discount and the flexibility to dine as we like without restriction. Also, alcohol is included in the discount. We usually travel with three to four adults and two children so it pays for itself very quickly.

If I recall correctly, if a Disney resort doesn't have a table service location then the counter-service location is included in TiW.

Enjoy your trip.

I've been recommending this deal (TiW. Back then it was called Disney Dining Experience.) for over five years now. I think it's one of the best secret deals Disney has.

(Granted, I haven't been, lately. It may have changed.)

We just bought it for our December trip. We dont like the dining plan as we do mostly sit down and not counter service. Its just dh and I.

Its just basically paying for the tips. But its a good savings if you use it alot. I am sure we have broken even already and then some. Our bill at Shulas alone was about 150 and as the other posters said, its good for alcohol, but we dont drink.

I just got back last weekend....I have an updated list from the park...if i scan it, i dont think you will be able to read it but i can try to fax it to you if you want...pm me a fax number and i will send out monday for anyone that wants it :) it was soooooo worth it! I used at Ohana's, Pop Century and Garden Grill...I only paid $75 cuz I am a Florida resident but made that back and then some! and to top it off it doesnt expire until January 2012!! I couldn't be happier!

Thanks for all the info! Just 1 more question, please?? Are there blackout times?:scared1: We are planning on going during Easter break!

How did you get it for $75 when the FL resident price is $100? It is $75 for AP holders - maybe that's how you got it?

OP - TIW is a great deal. Remember that it also provides for free valet parking when you use it to dine at any resort that offers valet. (You'll be asked to show your receipt when you pick up your car.) That's a $12 savings per day of valet parking right there.

According to AllEars, black-out dates are limited to these days: Mother's Day, Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.

Having an AP and a TiW works much better for DH and I than the DDP. The last AP and TiW card was used for two trips to WDW. One was offsite with 4 adults and 3 kids. The AP paid for parking and the TiW got us the 20% off.
The last trip, DH and I took the AP discount @ BWI and used the TiW card again.:worship: LOVE the TiW discount.

EeyoresPal, you can use your TIW card at Flame Tree BBQ and Restaurantasaurus as well as Pizzafari. :)

OP, we think it's a pretty good deal. Thing is, you have to remember to use it at the end of dinner. Sometimes we forget and then kick ourselves later. :upsidedow

Does TIW expire at exactly 1 year from the date of purchase? Or does it go through the end of the month it was purchased in?

And sometimes, not even those dates - we were able to use our TIW card and get the 20% discount at Citricos on Easter 2010.

There are actually nine CS in all of WDW that accept TIW discounts. Besides Pizzafari, Flame Tree and Restaurantosaurus at AK accept it. Also the food courts at the four value resorts, the Artists Palette at SSR, and the POFQ food court (only POFQ, not POR).

I much prefer TIW to DDP because I can order the courses I want rather than prepaying for an entree and dessert. And it's good on booze.

It is 13 months. If you purchase now, it is good through January, 2012

Another note about when to purchase -- the card is activated at time of purchase, so you do not want to purchase in advance. You can buy the card when you purchase or activate your AP to maximize time of use.

As many others have noted, this is a far more flexible discount than a dining plan. We also typically share appetizers and then eat an entree, but postpone dessert until later in the evening. Since we are DVC members we also do not eat TS meals every day.

We also time our TiW card purchase so that in spans the most trips.

We always purchase this package, back to when it was called the Disney Dining Experience, as well as season passes and save hundreds if not thousands of dollars. Since both the dining plan, and season pass work on a rolling schedule, we try to work in two trips within 365 days. For example, we may go to WDW the 1st wk of March in Year 1, then the last wk of Feb year two before the passes expire.
