WE have AP's and are staying off property. We plan on doing most of our dining on property. Is Tables in Wonderland worth it? Can you use it in most restaurants? I seem to be finding conflicting reports of what is covered.

Hi! Depending on your dining intinerary it may be easy to break even in a meal or two or more.We use it as we usually go twice a year so it's easy for us to per say break even.Yes most Disney resturants take TIW:thumbsup2

We have loved having TiW and have decided that one (or both) of us will always have an Annual Pass in order to get the TiW. If you have a cocktail or order a bottle of wine with dinner it's especially worthwhile. The TiW also applies for a party of up to 10 people. Next month we'll be at the world with my DS and DDiL so they were be substantial savings for us. TiW has given us the opportunity to try most of the signature restaurants with "breaking the bank". You can also use TiW at most of the resort bars if you stop by for a cocktail or a nightcap. We love it!

We love TIW, too! We first got it when it was $60, and broke even on 2 meals (Jiko and CA Grill). Now that it is $75 it takes part of another meal to break even, but it's still very worth it to us. We get 2-3 trips per "year" (it's really ~13.5 months). Heck, it saved $130 at V&A alone!

I love that there's no counting credits and no psychological push to eat more to "get your money's worth that I think comes with the DDP. (and I've done the plan before) We prefer appetizers to desserts, too - TIW covers that.

Remember you also get free valet parking at resorts when you dine there- show the card and they'll ask to see your receipt when you leave.

I had a question about TIW as well. I looked at the list and I saw that it listed all the mod food courts except the riverside mill. Did that just get missed on the list or is it really not supposed to be there?

Riverside Mill is not supposed to be there.

All the Mod food courts are not listed. Only POFQ should be. CBR (I realize there is a link to Old Port Royale, but only Shutters, the sit-down restaurant, accepts TIW) and CSR Pepper Market (Maya Grill is the sit-down) do not accept TIW.

Ok thanks for the quick reply. Is there a special reason that POFQ is on there? Maybe because they don't have a TS?

Yes, that's exactly it, because it doesn't have a TS.

There are two types of counter service restaurant on the TIW list: places with no TS, and places that added a TS after the DDE/TIW program was started. That is why you will see CS at Saratoga Springs and Animal Kingdom Park on the list. They added TS restaurants, but the CS were never removed from the program.

We have used TIW card for several years now.... we find it definitely a benefit for our family.... we often go to WDW with grown children and their families, or extended family from out of state, so is significant savings for big group meals... my husband and I have also used it at Victoria and Alberts, pretty much pays for itself there...

Nala already updated, but you can also check the list from All Ears - despite having lots of issues on their site, the TIW info is actually correct. As is the list on the AP site (which you can access once you have an AP).

We love it! Had it before as DDE, and then took a break for awhile as hubby wanted to try Dining Plans - we've done regular and deluxe many times, but were never satisfied with kids' meals (mostly yuck), hate CS meals, restrictions, and regular DP is not enough food.

So, last month, I purchased TIW again, and we loved it! My very hungry 2 and 6 year old share adult meals (much better food than kids' meals), and so this is huge just in itself! For our regularly scheduled 12 day July trip in a few months, we have 2 TS meals per day, and some days we have a CS breakfast as well, and the cost is just slightly more than the regular DP would have been. With regular DP, we would have had to add food and snacks as well. TIW allows us to create our own dining plan - we have character meals with surcharges/upcharges added in (even have CRT in there which requires 2 credits on DP), at least 2 TS meals per day, plus 4 snacks per day, and the cost of the card built-in to my equation, and I'm just a little bit more than the regular DP. In fact, the regular DP would have cost us more than our own TIW plan as it requires more food and snacks to be purchased. We are also getting a discount on our CS breakfast at SSR a few times too!

As an aside, we don't drink alcohol, normally don't order dessert, and usually bring our own bottled water and juice boxes, so these savings allow us to get that extra TS meal per day for the kids.

Love TIW!!!! Tiger :)

I also have a couple of questions about the TIW card:

- I understand it only covers 10 people. We will have a large party of 15 people (10 adults, 5 kids) at some meals. Will they let us use it on the 10 adult meals (usually buffets), or not at all? Or will we have to have separate bills for a party of 10 and a party of 5? What if that's not the way our ADRs are listed?
- If we get it, it will be in DH's name, as he'll have the AP. But he won't be coming to the princess breakfast -- will I be able to use his card, if we have the same last name? (Not trying to break any rules here, just trying to figure out what the rules are.) What if he comes along like Prince Charming just when it's time to pay the bill?

TIA.

You may use your card for ten people in your party. Those ten people must be on the same check. The way your ADRS are listed is not relevant at all.

Only the cardholder may use the card. There's an option to get a second card for another household member (must live with the cardholder) for $50.

Remember that TIW card automatically adds 18% gratuity. Some servers remember and some don't. If you have the card just check your bills before you walk out so you don't stiff/double tip your servers.

Thanks for the help. Now I just have to decide -- I get enough abuse from him for doing the princess breakfast, so will it be more if I make him come & pay the bill, or if I fork over the additional $50? :)
