I was wondering about getting the Tables in Wonderland card, and it looks like you can only get it if you are an AP holder, or a Florida Resident? How come others cannot get it... :confused3 ..or can we??

You're right, you have to be a FL resident or have an AP. They consider it a "perk" for AP holders, even though you have to buy the card.

We had one and it more than paid for itself on our last trip (and we dont even order drinks, which are included in the discount).

This is right- we have the DDE (I hate the "tables in wonderland" name) as AP holders and it definitely paid for itself and then some. Depending on how long one is planning on going to WDW and how often they eat sitdown meals or have drinks, this added discount might make it so that you want to have one AP in your family. You only need one card to get the discount for your whole table (max is maybe 8 people or so - i don't recall right now). For example, let's say a family of four is going for a 7 day trip. Some people would not get the AP b/c the trip is "only" seven days, but if you get the AP and then get the DDE, you might save enough in dining to justify the added expense of the AP and DDE card - not to mention the potential AP discount on room (and the Mickey Monitor newsletter!! - ok, that isn't all that great!).

We did what Mickey_Man recommended.....we didn't quite hit the amount of days for both DH and I to get an AP, but I went ahead and got one for the DDE. Since we are DVC members, the cost is a bit less than if you are not one, but the discounts on rooms if the dates fall right for you could certainly make it more than worth it!

For us, the fact that alcohol also has the 20% discount, makes the card worthwhile.:rotfl: We like to do nice sit down dinners and have a bottle of wine with our meal. Even with just 2 of us, it pays for itself.

For us the AP is worth it.

Not only because we go 25+ days this year but also because we stay off property and have a car and parking with an AP is free.

The Discount at the World of Disney store DTD makes also a difference.

25+ days?! How wonderful!!!! Will you be spending those days all at one time?

No we were there last May and go this Nov/Dec and again in April/May.

That's exactly what Shanan (A.Mickey) and I did last time; we had an AP, so we got the DDE card as well, it saves you a TON on multiple trips (or one long one). I think the card paid for itself from the Victoria and Albert's bill alone

Oh certainly it pays for itself in one meal at V&As. DW and I will have three trips total on this year's AP/DDE and we saved a ton with it. We are only planning one trip back next year (probably another week in July) but we are thinking another AP just for the DDE for that week.

Wow! You guys are awesome!!! Thanks for all the info! Hmmmm....now I am wishing I had my AP again :(. Can someone sneak me into the TSMM podcast party? Then I will surely get an AP to go to mousefest and then again go in the spring after the cruise! Ohhhh.... we can wish! :cloud9:
