Is this the disney dining experience for AP holders? It is $60-- 20% off meals, for the whole party, right?
2nd question: we are going for 5 days in January and I HOPE to go in June for 8-9 days (dreaming??? I hope not )
Anyway, would it be worth while to get this instead of the ddp? I did the ddp last July- was fine. but wasn't going to for this quick trip in Jan--- but might be worthwhile to do for Jan and June, kwim?
BTW--- I am suppose to be studying statistics for college- brain fried---so I have no idea if what I wrote/asked makes sense to anyone.....

You get 20% off of everything including alcohol but the tip (18% is included). I know for how we like to eat at disney, the tables in wonderland is better then the DDP since my DH loves to get appetizers instead of dessert (he just takes my dessert).

Totally depends on how and how much you like to eat.

We've done DDP before and loved it but don't think the change this year makes it worthwhile for us (no more gratuity/app included). This year we're scaling back a bit and will be trying TIW. We're there for 3 weeks and have been looking at how we're planning to eat and where, and it seems like it will pay for itself and then some in our case.

The Disney Dining Experience/Tables in Wonderland paid for itself on our first trip for just my husband and I eating, but it really depends on where you are planning on eating. Take a look at the list of restaurants that it covers and see if you are interested in those at all. We know we are glad to have it (but I think the name change is dumb)

We find its a better deal for us - even if it means getting an AP for one of us that we don't NEED. But we travel for seven days, tip around 18% anyway, travel as AT LEAST a party of four (and usually have guests), eat generally two signature meals per trip and drink alcohol. The last one adds a lot of value to TiW that the DDP doesn't provide since you get the discount on alcohol.

The other thing to know about TiW is that it isn't all restaurants....most table service places - but not all (not Teppan Edo), only a very few counter service places (mostly in the AK and value resorts).

I just used it for my trip last week and it paid for itself by the third meal. I just looked at it as a 2% discount on the bill in most cases -- they take 20% off the bill but then add an 18% gratuity on. It was like not having to pay for a tip, but in some of those more expensive meals it was worth it. I'll be using the card again in May.

We use both. We bought it at the beginning of this year, before annual passholders were offered the DDP on room reservations. It paid for itself in the first three weekend trips. We've been using it for our alcoholic drinks after we began purchasing the DDP.

The fact that CS at the value hotels (our january trip is at POP, 1st time) is a bonus for sure. Our quick trip then is for ds b day and only 4 nights... we will do a couple of ts meals but rest will be quick, cheap.

And I like the fact that I can get appetizers- would rather have app than desserts. Or 2 appetizers instead of a meal--- and my pretty fu fu drinks---
