Tables in Wonderland worth it?

DVC member.also Starwood.

We stay at Dolphin/Swan for 3 days on points. While there we eat at their restaurants and get DVC discount of 20%.

When we transfer to DVC most of our eating is in our unit.

talk to me about the second card. It says spouse or partner but what if our licenses have different addresses on them because one of us never changed our address?

I would think that would be an issue. How do you prove to Disney that you are a spouse or partner and not someone else?

We have found TIW to be a great deal and very convenient. It has saved us a bunch, and to us, worth the price. We are a little unusual in that we are at Disney over 60 days a year. So our discounts add up to more than someone who is on a one to two week vacation.

We have had TIW for many years. When my girls were younger (it was DDE, back then), we definitely got our money's worth. Plus when we traveled with friends, we were able to use the discount for up to a party of 10. All the dinner shows more than made up for the price. However, now it's just the two of us. We don't drink much, plus I don't eat much either. We like to share an appetizer and sometimes even split an entree. Dessert I can handle all by myself though. :) We are debating renewing next year. Especially now that Victoria & Albert's is no longer included. Plus all the new blackout dates is also a factor.

I may have missed this information on this thread but just an FYI:

Tables in Wonderland is not accepted during holidays, including New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Also I recently read on a Disney website (not sure if it was the WDW or the DVC MS website), that the DVC and AP discounts can be changed at any time or restricted. So it's quite possible that even your other discounts will not work during the above dates.

We travel to WDW at least twice a year for a minimum of 10 days at a time. It is well worth it for us to get the TIW card. In fact if we only did 10 days to WDW yearly it would be worth the cost of purchase for us.

This is one of the things where you can calculate it if you plan. For our trip in two weeks, it isn't worth the cost. We already know from past experience the DDP is too much food for us. So while you may be getting a deal with DDP vs what you buy - we would be eating far more than normal just to feel like we were making good use.

Since we know DDP is out we looked at TIW. There's just two of us (our DS is under 3). We aren't going to be doing many TS and the few CS we have thought about doing don't accept it. Most of our food will probably come from Publix/Winn Dixie. Pretty easy calculations for us.

Plan out where you will likely go and what you would likely get at those spots. Calculate the cost and see if you'll at least break-even.
