Tables in Wonderland renewal question

We purchased our Tables in Wonderland (TiW) card about a year ago when we purchased our Premier Annual passes. We are going back to WDW next week and using our annual passes before they expire on the 26th. We don't plan on renewing our annual passes until we visit Disneyland again in the fall (it is for timing reasons that we want to renew then and not now). However, I was thinking about renewing our TiW card prior to our passes expiring in a few weeks. Can I renew the TiW card prior a month prior to its expiration? I know it is a dumb question, but places have different renewal policies, and was wondering if I can renew prior to the expiration.

You don't really renew your TIW. You purchase a new one. No discount or anything. As far as I know you can purchase one as long as you have an active AP. So get a new one and it will be valid for 13 months from the date of purchase.

Curious, why would you renew your TIW if you aren't renewing passes yet?

As the PP explained, TIW doesn't 'renew'. It's the same price to buy a new card, so there's no discount or advantage to buying as soon as your current one expires.

I would wait and not buy a new TIW card until your next trip to WDW. Otherwise you're just paying for something you're not using or getting any benefit from.

The reason why I want to get new TiW cards prior to renewing the passes is that we will be coming again next year when we go on the Cruise, and just want the card so that I would have it available when we get there. We usually don't hit the parks on the first few days when we get there, I wanted to have the TiW card for our dining.

You can purchase it in DTD or you can order it before your trip.

I ordered mine on the phone today. They said it would be here in 3 weeks. We are in the same boat as our AP expires before we go back and we won't be renewing since we will be expecting so only 1 more trip (but we wanted the TIW). The lady was very nice. Also, you can not order it before your trip if your AP is not active... a voucher doesn't work. So you do need to do it now or have an active pass when you purchase.

Hint: if you call... press 2 and then press 1.... otherwise you will have to listen to a 15 minute lecture on how it all works! :rolleyes1

OP is renewing their Premier pass in Disneyland this fall, but isn't returning to WDW until next summer (based on your signature) so they'll have a valid AP if they order right before their trip. I don't see the "convenience" of renewing early and have it expire right after your next trip.
