Nope. You can get it at Guest Services at or in the parks or DTD.

just wondering if it's a long process to get one? ie: lots of things to sign etc? i just found out our flight into MCO is arriving later than originally booked & my plan was to pick up a TiW card at DTD before we use it a Fulton's. with the flight change we only have less 30 mins before our ADR to get the card. should i try to push back my ADR?

It doesn't take long at all to actually get the card, but the question is how long will the line be when you get there.

The Guest Relations Location at Disney Quest typically has a shorter line than the Guest Relations in the Marketplace.

thanks for the speedy reply. i'm looking at the map of DTD & i don't see a specific "Guest Relations" area. is it the same at the DVC information center? i see on the map that there's two locations for that where 1 is near Disney Quest & the other in the Marketplace area. Sorry, i'm a fairly new DVC member & never used any of the perks in FL yet.

One Guest Relations is located next to the Marketplace Co-Op store (behind Ghirardelli), the West Side location is next to the Disney Quest ticket windows.

You can purchase now, over the phone, she will not be able to purchase in person without you.
Once she has her own card you will not need to be present to use the membership.

To clarify ... "over the phone" has some advantages, and limitations....

Advantage - you will get a PLASTIC STOCK TIW card, not paper.

Disadvantage: If you are buying as an AP, you have to have an ACTIVE AP - not a "green card". DVC Member? Well, we usually give 'em our Active AP number.... but I'm not getting why they could not take an Active DVC Membership Number? The question is always: Do you qualify for TIW? If they can't take a DVC Membership number, it's likely due to the inability to verify it (as in, another Disney Computer System Disconnect).

The website still says [only] "Florida Residents and Annual / Seasonal Passholders may also purchase over the phone." But it's been out of date before. Let us know what you find out.

...and it would not surprise me if that is still the case - indicating that Disney won't allow TIW to verify DVC memberships . Both work for the same company - but Disney's computer system is broken in so many ways that I would not be surprised if the corporation did not trust TIW .

If you buy it advance, it starts when they send it to you. So even if they would do it, that's a disadvantage. (It used to be that you had to buy it that way.)

ABSOLUTELY true . In some cases, it is far better to wait. The card will EXPIRE at the end of the 13th month after it's initial purchase MONTH. So - NEVER buy a TIW at the end of a month.... wait until about the 2nd day of a month.

Our card did not work right from issuance at MK - had to be re-issued at DTD.

Was surprised that Bongos would not honor it - yeah, I am sure it is printed somewhere. - shockingly, I did not memorize the list.

A little surprised that almost all of the countries accepted the DVC discount for random purchases
