I am thinking of getting an Annual Pass and a TIW card for our next trip.
How do you get the card? Do you pre-order it and can it be done online? I will have an AP voucher until we arrive. I plan on activating that at Epcot Guest Services the day we arrive. Can I get the TIW card at the same time? Would an AP voucher work?
TIA

You can either order ahead by phone or mail, or you can pick it up at Guest Services in the park down at Disney.

You'd have no problem getting it at Epcot.

You can purchase it at the same place you plan on exchanging your AP voucher

just dont be a dufus like me....:rotfl: I didnt have any photo id for the dde card..so had to get the DDE card the next visit to the park at a different location...I didnt need it for the AP because we purchased that a few weeks before we went to disney as in the voucher form...

We bought ours at DTD when we renewed our APs....took 2 minutes

You actually can't order it ahead of time with the AP voucher. I tried earlier this year and apparently they don't do that anymore.

You can easily get it though at the Guest Relations window while you're trading in your voucher for the AP. It only took a few minutes.

Just FYI - we were at Epcot's International Gateway entrance last month and wanted to turn in our AP vouchers and purchase the Tables in Wonderland card. There were two lines at the set of booths on the right and one line at the booths at the left. All lines were very long (ultimately, it took us 30+ minutes to get through our line). Not wanting to be in the wrong line, I had asked a CM who was in the area if I could get the TIW card in the lines to the right - he said yes. THIS WAS NOT SO. After waiting for that 30+ minutes, we were a bit upset when the CM at the head of our line told us we needed to be in the LEFT booth's line (which would have been another long wait).

We exchanged our AP vouchers with her and then waited to get our TIW card at Guest Services inside the park (which itself had a long line out the door). We lost the discount on the first meal, though, as we were too close to our ADR to go to Guest Services way up front before our ADR in World Showcase.

The point of this story is: if at International Gateway at Epcot, make sure you are in the line on the left that, I believe, says, "Guest Services." While all of those windows can exchange your AP voucher, apparently only the left side can sell you the TIW cards.

I had a similar experience last year...except without your wait. I didn't look up at the signs!!! I was able to get my APs at the ticket line but then had to switch to GS for DDE. No wait at the ticket line though and I think only one person ahead of me at GS. I think I've posted a number of times since...go to the booth on the left!
