We are taming out first trip this spring with our rambunctious two and a half year old so a nice sit down dinner is out of the question unfortunately. However, I was wondering if any table service restaurants at the resorts or parks (besides Sanaa) offer any sort of takeout?

I would suggest taking a look in the MDE app under mobile ordering. We found TS restaurants currently offering "to-go" mobile - it might lead you to something you like. Just off-hand, Trattoria at the Boardwalk, Sanaa, Steakhouse 71, Olivia's at OKW, Ale&Compass, and Kona were doing it. I think there are more. It's worth a look to see if any of that might help you.

Thanks to both of you! I didn’t realize they had this filter option in the app!

Just took a look. Doesn’t seem like there are a ton of options darn it. I was really hoping flying fish would make it work somehow! I’ve missed it so much, it kills me going to Disney without being able to eat there!

Yeah that isn’t really an option. However Swan/Dolphin has the kids camp in the evening. If you eat at one of their fancy table service places it gives free camp for the kid. Also it’s super close to the boardwalk, so you could do that, pay for it, and walk to Flying Fish? Maybe. I’m not super familiar with it. But it is currently available, I know that.

They do have very few, out of the total TS, that offer take out/pick up. Just not really set up for it with TS
People eat with toddlers in restaurants all around the world every day. You sure you can't? Maybe I'm a bad grandparent/parent but I don't let a 2 yo dictate what we do for dining. As the adult that pays, I get 100% say, LOL

You know your kid best. You also know if it is actually worth it to you to pay a lot of money for a nice dinner when the experience is changed by having to manage an active little one. However, I will say that all Disney restaurants are very accommodating to small children. Especially if you make early reservations, I think you will find that many of the tables have babies and small children. On our first trip with my 2 year old and 3 month old, I was worried about signature dining. I didn't want to disturb others. We gave it a try anyway because it's something we really enjoy. Just about every table at Citricos at 5:30 had similar aged children. I was put at ease, and my kids did fine! Totally your call, of course, but you may find that it works out ok for your 2.5 yr old!

Unless it has mobile ordering available, probably not. I doubt Flying Fish offers to-go orders.

Your kiddo, your call but I do know that restaurants to have to-go boxes. I know I've been offered them at various places.

If you went and had to pull the rip cord, more likely than not, they do have containers to send the food out with you.

My favorite thing about Disney is that I can enjoy a nice meal with my kids without getting hate-glares from the other patrons for bringing a child to disturb their business dinner/romantic night out/etc. But I've been there with 2 year-olds, so I get not wanting to chase a restless toddler around a restaurant all night. I will say we did the mobile order to go at Sanaa last trip and it was delicious and quick. If you're willing to try dining in-person, restaurants that offer an entertaining element appealing to 2 year-olds might be worth a try, like Garden Grill, Coral Reef and Space 220 at Epcot, Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge, or Be Our Guest at MK.

Thanks everyone for the input! I’m nervous to actually eat in a restaurant because our son does not like to sit still very long at all. When we eat at home he will sit in his high chair for about ten minutes and then we have to let him run free while we finish eating. I haven’t had any practice or experience with him in restaurants because he was born right before the pandemic. Any tips on dining with a wild toddler? The themed dining is a good idea but I still worry it won’t be enough to keep him busy. I’d love to do Snow White storybook dining bc my son loves that movie but I’m so nervous that we’d order our food and five minutes later realize what a mistake we’ve made.

My hyper toddler loved Biergarten because of the band! I think it’s a buffet again so you wouldn’t have to wait long for food.

Practice at home. Don't give in and let them control dinner, keep them in their seat till you finish eating. Maybe use a video on your phone to get his attention. Bring something that entertains him. Toys, crayons, books, etc. I used to grab these little activity kits at Target's dollar spot that were small booklets with stickers and crayons. I'd keep a stash in the diaper bag. Start dining out places now around home. Maybe just newness of environment will grab his attention.

I didn't see this mentioned and it may have changed since we were last there - but, the takeout boxes for the mobile to go at TS were cardboard and the food plated directly into the box. Just something to consider if you are planning any distance between the restaurant and where you will eat it. It does not stay warm and is not the easiest to dine out of from our experience. We were at BLT and even going from the former Wave to our room was not ideal except we could reheat and replate as needed.
