Hello Everybody

We have already been to both Akershus dinner as well as Le Cellier with our 5 and 8 year old girls. I'm trying to find a TS restaurant to go to in Epcot and taking suggestions. I know what all of them are but there are a few that dont appeal to us. We don't want to do the Mexican restaurant, Biergarten, rose and Crown, or Garden grill or the Italian place. So i guess that leaves Bistro De paris and Le Chefs. Any one better or not for kids? What about that new Tokyo dining that has sushi. Is that on the dining plan?

Thanks,
Debbie

I have never been, but a friend whom I trust just came back from her bizillionth trip to Disney and she raves about Teppan Edo (the Japanese steak house).

We are going to Teppan Edo in December, I have heard very good reviews and it sounds like it could be a lot of fun. Another place that is very good, and is fun for the kids is Coral Reef in the Living with the Seas Pavillion. They have very good seafood, however if you don't like seafood, I have also heard that they have very good steak there as well. Plus the Chocolate Wave dessert is to die for.

Bistro De Paris is not really geared for kids (no kids menu for example).
A meal here will most likely take 1-2 hours.
It is also not on the dining plan.

Le Chefs is probably a better choice with kids but the food and atmosphere is nicer at Bistro.

Teppan Edo and Tokyo dining are on the dining plan.
I can't comment on the quality, but the reviews seem good.

I haven't been to Chefs de France yet, but a friend of mine was there and she said it was excellent. She had her 4-year-old with her and she loved it as well. We are planning to go there for one of our Epcot dinners on our trip in July.

What about Marrakesh? It's great fun for kids with the Middle Eastern Dancer and band. The food is quite nice, and the selections are not so very exotic that the children will balk at trying them.

We have taken my young nephews (both around 6 and 8 at the time) to Teppan Edo and Chefs de France. They enjoyed both and the atmosphere and servers really made it work for them. One nephew however (a very picky eater) balked at Teppan Edo since there were not traditional kid foods (mac and cheese, etc.) We encourage them to try new things, so it was okay...BUT the other (younger!) nephew loved it. When they were younger we did Marrakesh as well and they liked the belly dancer...

Coral Reef is a good choice as well. The fish tank really fascinated them.
