TA or book direct with Disney?

Have you ever booked with a TA and regretted not booking directly with Disney? When checking in at the resort one time, I overheard a CM say something negative about people who use TA's and it freaked me out so I've used Disney Travel since then. Now, my cruise is $350 cheaper through one of the online TA's but I'm nervous. Anyone been burned by a TA and regretted it?

there are a few ways you can do it... book throught disney directly and transfer to a ta and they'll give you a % of it since the work is already done...like 7% for most... I have heard wonderful things on here about Dana at micdan travel. she called me yesterday and talked to me for 20 minutes on tips on how to get the best rates. she will save you $ any way she can and is very straightforward! call her and see what she says 1.800.385.8233 some other sites with good info to compare are: costco :877.849.2730, cruisevalue.com,small world,berwick travel,smartcruise, cruise complete and cruise planners..your time is well worth checking for the best price you'd be surprised the differences in price. Of coarse Sept. and Jan are your cheaper times to go but as long as the kids are in school the rates arent as bad... good luck and enjoy your cruise!

On our first DC we booked with a local TA. She was wonderful
Rebooked onboard and the same TA took over the cruise. When we had a few problems a few weeks before the cruise she was no where to be found. I wound up working thru one of her co-workers because our TA was no help to us. I have not and will never use her again. I have sent many people to her and I no longer do this. Of coruse, I am not going into what all happened and believe me it was not good. We used Magical Joruney's for the cruise we will be going in in 5 weeks. I used another TA for our cruise in 11-06. I now look at where I can get the best deal at. After what I went thru last year I do not think any TA can be any worse.
