Using a TA for first time for disney to get a sale price. I was going to have her do my adr this Saturday and have been fighting a I want to sleep vs I am a control freak battle with myself. Side note, there is no clear winner to my surprise. Anyhow...after her telling me all I needed to do was send her my want list, today when I checked in to make sure we were set for adr day, she then tells me that unless I give her my logon to MDE, she will have to wait and call at 7 vs doing it online first thing at 6.

There is nothing in MDE that she doesn't already have: cc info, my address, etc, but I find the idea of giving her my password uncomfortable. Is this normal for a TA to do? Do they all just call at 7 or are other folks handing over their log ons? I sort of assumed that TAs had "magical" access to reservations to do them online at 6.

I've never used a TA, but my instinct says not to give her the password and book the ADRs yourself.

I would also just book them myself. Especially after hearing how someone changed the details of their trip, I believe resulting in less business for the TA, and the TA cancelled all their ADRs.

TAs don't have "Magical access" to my Disney Experience.... Only the access toy give them. You can always change the password after they book your adrs. Question....

Mine said he couldn't do it until 7 either, so I just made them myself.

That makes me feel some better. But it also confirms I should probably do them myself to get the 6 jump.

True about changing password. I never thought about MDE and a TA. I sort of thought having my reservation number meant they logged on via a TA site and did them. Oh, well.

Scary.

My TA also told me she had to call at 7am and that she couldn't do all of them at once, she'd have to call one in each day because shes not on our reservation. Others have told me that their TA's can go online for them at 6am and try for all of them, so I have no idea what they can and can't do, as this had me confused. Instead of worrying, I just did them all myself at 6am and got everything I wanted and at the times I needed. I would just do them myself if I were you. Having a 1 hour advantage makes a difference IMO.

My TA has a DME account and linked us as friends and went in that way to make our ADR's.

TA's making ADR's is going the way of the dinosaurs.
5-6 years ago i had my TA do it but then realized i might as well do it myself.
she IS going to need your log in info if you want her to do it online at 6am.
if you don't want her to have it then do the ADR's yourself.

I am a TA and all my clients give me their MDE login info. That is how you make ADRs online, I also link their resort reservations for them, help with FPs. It's all done through MDE. She'll also need CC info, because all TS restaurants need a CC to make the reservation.

I prefer to do it myself so I can make changes when my first choices aren't available. I have even changed where I will be for a day around a certain reservation I really want.
