TA is MIA

I disagree. I have found my AAA travel agents to be quite superior to others.

We have used them on every WDW vacation since our first in 2004. Even when they no longer were affiliated with Disney, they still gave us gift cards and other benefits when booking in January (AAA Disney Month). On our last trip to the Contemporary, our TA found a last minute deal upgrading us from the Garden Wing to a high tower room one floor below club level for less money. I never would have had the time nor the inclination to spend time trying to find an awesome deal like that. We use our membership for when we have car trouble and many other discounts as well.

Bottom line, as someone who was a Corporate Travel Agent prior to becoming a teacher, I will always use travel agents.

Believe me, I'm happy to hear you say you'll always use TA's! And I'm glad you've had such good luck with AAA agents; that's not the usual case but whenever someone has a bad experience with a TA, it gives other TA's a bad name so I'm thankful for all positive experiences everyone has.

A big difference between the TA I use and AAA (other than exclusive WDW deals) is that my TA will reply to her emails on the weekend where as AAA was M-F 8-5 only.

You want (and many people need) a TA who is available on weekends and evenings. Not 24/7, but outside of "normal" business hours for sure.

I met with my TA two Saturdays ago, and my DH got our trip tik from her today (Saturday). The only day that we cannot see her is a Sunday. I have received emails from her on the weekend, and she gets back to me quickly. If she is unavailable, the manager can handle any issues.

I have been a member since I started driving and have used AAA for travel as long as I can remember. I have never had a problem nor do I know anyone that has. I am surprised by this negative reputation. I looked for online reviews and could not find any negative reviews. I checked with the Better Business Bureau, and the northeast reviews are 5 stars. The lowest review I found was 3.7 in Ohio. I don’t get it. This is all news to me.

That's great for your area, but I can tell that the majority of AAA locations are just M-F. I did not give AAA a negative review, I have been a AAA member for close to 30 years, but like I mentioned in my post, the AAA offices in the last 2 locations we lived in was open M-F 8:30-5:30 and those were the only hours they would communicate via email or phone. Plus again, the most important reason, the TA I use have better deals.
