Monday 5th May
The Crew
Tony .Driver and general gofer
Theresa .Scrapbook shopper extraordinaire
Peggy (my mum) ..Ill go on anything as long as its not upside down.
Zena (my aunt) .Ditto
We were up a bit late today as we had forgotten to set the alarm clock but still managed to get to Seaworld for 9.00ish and were in the second row in the car park.
Seaworld was very quiet today which we were pleased about, after Animal Kingdom yesterday we didnt need to be on a route march today.
We were going to Discovery Cove later in our trip so our Seaworld tickets were free.
We went on the Sky Tower and got a really good view of the surrounding area including Aquatica.
We watched the Clyde and Seymour Show but I admit I think the Mime that does the pre-show is much more fun (for adults anyway).
We visited the Clydesdale horses and, for the first time ever, the hospitality tent where I tried the Bud lite with lime which as a non-drinker I could get used to pretty quickly on a hot day.
The flowers were all in bloom and there were so many photo opertunities.
We just managed to get into the Blue Horizons show with a couple of seats right at the back for Mum and Zena and Theresa and I stood right at the back. The whales refused to work so the trainers explained they cant make them work if they dont want to and had to skip over that part of the show.
We had lunch at Voyagers, Theresa and I shared a full rack of ribs which was easily enough , especially when we had a huge portion of carrot cake each for dessert. Mum and Zena had the chicken and chips and chocolate cake which they couldnt finish, so I guess theirs was big enough as well.
We left after the Shamu Show which we liked apart from the hard sell on the Shamu wooden tail, not fair on parents with kids that would all love one.
Zena said shed drive us back as Id had one drink but she had the wrong car!
We stopped at Walgreens for post cards and a mooch round on our way back to the condo.
We had a rest and then went to The Lonestar which is a western, Texas, themed restaurant just over the road on the 535 from our resort.
The food was good, the portions were Texas sized so we werent able to fit in a dessert.
After dinner we went back to the condo and settled down to watch The Golden Compass which I had bought yesterday at Wal-Mart and got all the post cards written.
