Where is the T Rex restaurant located? Is it on the DDP?

Is there a menu out there for it?

Thanks very much! :goodvibes

They will in general accept Rainforest coupons.. they took our .99 kids meal one just ask when you are seated... if that helps any

This is basically the rainforest cafe with a dinosaur theme. Expect the long lines and decent food but your really there for the experience.

Sorry to hijack this post, but can anyone give me details on the experience?

My DD (3) is loving dinosaurs right now and this sounds like it would be fun and entertaining for her.

I also like to know about the Build-A-Dino!

Thanks!!!

It is dinosaur themed, which you already know. There are a few different rooms with different themes. This restaurant is loud. But fun!!! There is a meteor shower around every 15-20 minutes. The food was good. The ribs delicious. There is a little "sand" pit for the kids to dig in before dinner. They uncover a dinosaur, forget which one. They also have a hand washing stand for when they are done playing. The gift shop is beyond cool. We had a ton of fun in there. Heck, if I were not planning on eating, I would still go to the gift shop. LOL.... We bought a geode there and you get to crack it open. DS loved that! Think of the Build a Dino as a Build a Bear with dinosaurs. They are owned by the same company. Price ran about the same as Build a Bear. We had a ton of fun and will go back one day. I had a DD last year and I don't think she will like it at 18 months when we go.

One more thing to add... I think my 2 year old will hate dinosaurs for life after going there. She was terrified the whole time! She didn't cry or scream but she just held onto us for her dear life. It was actually kind of nice since we usually have to go chase her down everywhere we go :thumbsup2

We ate here a few week ago and though the food was good, better then RFC.

There are 4 themes rooms. 2 room that have dino's, an under the sea room and an ice room. We ate in one of the Dino room that bordered the ice room. I think I would request the under the sea room next time. I was not crazy about the ice room because of the changing colors.

It reminds me of the Dinosaur ride with a metor shower and Dino's coming to life. Not as loud as RFC though. The ice room turns completely red during the storm.

Located at DTD--looks like Rain Forrest. Are they owned by the same company?

Yes. Both are operated by Landry's Restaurants. Neither takes the dining plan. The only Landry's restaurant on the dining plan is Yak & Yeti.

We tried to book this on line for the night before we checked into Disney ( we always stay in Orlando the night before to get an early start the next day). But were disappointed to find no openings. When we got to DTD we just decided to walk up and try and sure enough we had no problem getting a table within 5 minutes!

The dino theme was neat and very much like Rainforest Cafe only with dinos and a meteor shower.

The food was okay. DD19 (culinary student who works in a fine dining restaurant) ordered a mushroom pasta dish that was very good. The rest of our food was ok but unremarkable.

The girls (9 and 19) were very excited to do the build-a-dino thing (yes, even the 19 yr old :confused3). They each built one and dressed them for $30 each.

We tried to book online for thurs 10/22 at around 2pm,and also tried several options around that time and online it said they didnt have any openings. I had thought it was a little strange b/c we were a party of 4 and 2pm isnt the rush of lunch or dinner. So we called them and they took our reservation and said it was no problem to give us a reservation for 2pm. I am wondering if their booking online isnt accurate.:confused3
